Thanks @907rx7 for all that. Dropping the headliner for sound deadening is on my list but it’s near the bottom of it for now. Because it’s a lot of work and with the ages of my kids there is significant risk of parts lost or broken midway as I don’t really have a big block of time without them to start and finish the entire effort.

I like this option though. Good reason to stick with the long cable for now. Though with pins and connector pairs I could turn the existing cable into a short + extension sort of system.

Working great! I use the isolator as a solution if my starter battery is dead I can hold down a button in the cab to join the two batteries. As well I have a REDARC BCDC1225D connected to a solar panel on the roof to keep the second battery topped up. Does a great job! Only issue is the alternator doesn't charge up the main battery fully so once a week I plug the minnkota mk220d 2x10amp charger.

I completely understand that and I don't have kids. It's on my list along with Katzkins which will probably be done at the same time for 2 days with the truck torn apart.

That would have been awesome to know before I finally got it apart and got it routed.

I'm going to order some pins and just shorten it in place.

Searching for the pins I also found a better diagram on the connector internals that would have helped me visualize how the release worked.

I'd try a going back to defaults in the app.

You can also give switch pros a call. They have decent customer service

Was just thinking about this... Since the low beams turn off when the high beams come on, do you lose illumination on the switchpros when the high beams are on?

I'm in the middle of planning my wiring attack, finally have all the hardware in hand, waiting on wiring odds and ends.

I ended up fixing it one of the wires that I spliced into inside the cab on the foot panel for some reason that's no longer hot and I wonder if that has to do with the installation of the amp it's okay either way I use the tap works fine now

The low beams stay on. They didn’t on the gen 2 trucks

I’ve had mine wired like this since I put in the switch pro and haven’t had any issues.

SDHQ has them.. I bought one not realizing it wouldn't fit in my meso customs panel. I could probably drop it in the mail to you for some venmo.

Also if @MESO wants to make a side pocket panel that works with this bezel (or something similar, add on bezel piece?) I might need to send him more money. ;)

I like'd the idea of having the surround that allows for registering your finger against the button.

I did some searching throughout this thread, and hadn't found anything similar....anyone have issues programming the names of the individual switches in the app? The first day I set it up, it allowed me to change the switch names through settings, and then when I exited that screen, the names were implemented. However, now that I've added more stuff since then, it won't allow me to change the names of switches 3-8; when I attempt to do so the script immediately turns to red as I'm deleting the default 'name'(i.e; 'Switch 4') and upon exiting, it doesn't register any of the new names I just entered.

    Anyone else experience anything similar?

make sure you "enter" each line item before moving to the next or exiting that menu, if you are still in the "box" and exit, it loses what you entered (it crashed the app for me)

Alright, I'll give that a try today....the only other button I have access to from that screen is the 'exit' icon, I believe; unless you're referencing the 'enter' key inherent to the keyboard when entering the new name. I could be not hitting that before exiting; that's very possible. Thank you!

So anyone using their Switch-Pros for something other than lighting / compressor / winch? I haven’t yet found a truly fun purpose for mine. One idea I had was to raise/lower the spare if I found a powerful and waterproof rotary motor.

I’m planning to use it for a bedside compressor and bed lighting once I make those purchases. But that leaves 6 other circuits to employ.

    ISO ideas :)

I run the dual function light bar on mine(2 switches; one for amber and one for the white light), Driver side LED Pod on one circuit, Passenger side LED pod on another, and both the bumper mounted spots in the 5th spot. Eventually, I would like to run a compressor and lockers in the last 3 locations(although I may just swap to a TRDOR rear axle, and go electronic for the rear locker-portion).

Although I will be mildly embarrassed if this is my issue, I appreciate you guys taking the time to point it out!

I have 4 switches currently consumed by lights... I’ve considered putting my fridge on a switch but I’ve just got that direct off the battery currently. I was going to mount a compressor but I’ve just been using a portable one and connecting it when i use it.
