I really enjoy my 4 cylinder extended cab. However the driver seat cushion is wore out, and not comfortable for long rides.

To bolster it would cost me $150 locally. Seat jackers in the front at $110, and rear ones for $30-60. This equates to roughly $300 for just one used seat. I would like to see if it is possible to adapt a better leather seat of some kind rather than spending $300 on a seat that is not the most comfortable to begin with.

Has anyone had any luck with adapting 3rd or 4th generation 4runner seats? Is there an aftermarket leather seat that would make a good replacement?

Any help would be appreciated. I couldn't find any previous posts that asked these specific questions.

Alpine stereo replacement, 6x9 Kicker front door speaker upgrade, Kicker tweeter upgrade. 6000k HID upgrade, Running boards installed, Rear seats installed, Pedal Commander, Meso Map Lights, TRD pro grille, Raptor lights, TRD Pro rims, 4600's Bilsteins, Diode Dynamics SAE Yellow Fog lights, Custom fuse box.
I know the dealer told me they use Katzkin and it would be $1700 to do leather seats in my Taco.

I have the premium seats with the bolster support in my 2015 and I love them. You could probably score a set from a recycler and bolt them right in.

What are "premium" seats? Was it an upgrade that can be added on? Or did it come on a specific trim?
