I purchased one of these for my 2017. Super easy quick install.

Nothing in VF or TS will calibrate the speedo. Hypertech or otherwise.

Wait, are you stating your speedo is off vs gps speed, or your VF tuner maps don't align with your speedo?

what? With 32’s my speedo is off by 4mph at 90mph! With such a slight increase in tire size you shouldn’t be noticing that much change. This chart is accurate for me (even tested with police radar)

Love that website. That's why I'm thinking maps vs speedo. My 33s are off by 5ish mph at 60 according to GPS

doesn’t bug me enough to want to change it if you know how much it really is in the speed spectrum (kinda like distance with Kentucky windage)

Well the way I see it, I'm putting 8% less mileage on my truck. Why pay to add miles?

    I’ll decide come Wednesday.

I need to go through and read Chad’s review with 85 octane.

I'm going to go do a bunch of logging on 85 then get premium and log again. If kclv goes up to the 20s instead of 19 with premium then I think premium is the answer.

I'm also going to run 2.0 and monitor kclv and see if their is a difference

Thanks for the warning, I am happy with the performance of V3 and lean towards efficiency so the performance tune is probably not for me. I need to figure out a way for the truck to shift out of 4th sooner when im coasting around 40mph, the truck doesnt shift into 5th even though Im barely touching the gas pedal.

What is sorely needed on this truck is a closed loop warm up cycle. I am so tired of bad fuel economy when its cold, I have been seeing 11-13mpg on a tank of gas calculated manually. Has anyone even been able to make an attempt at this?

Based on my experience there is wideband O2 sensor in the Tacoma which is well usable.
Most likely the OVtune logger can log it.
At least HP Tuners VCM Scanner can log it.

Stock primary O2s are wideband and can read AFR from very lean to very rich (about 10.0 reliably)

however the stock CODE only takes readings to 11.8. Anything richer is just pegged @ 11.8

we are working on modifying the code to expand the useable access of the sensor. Because this code is in every toyota.

I believe I'm suffering analysis paralysis... I too have seen similar values. On a 30 mile trip with city, hwy, high and low loads, it still averages -3.156 for a f/b value

Guys is the upshift schedule 4 to 5 the right place to adjust at what speed and throttle angle the transmission upshifts from 4th to 5th? If I want to have the transmission shift sooner, is it correct to decrease the value of the KPH a little bit for each column for throttle angle below 40? For example I started with 56, 56, 58, 72, 86, 102 and changed it to 55, 55, 66, 80, 102. Im just looking for a little bit as I noticed that it tends to shift around 42mph and I would like for it to shift around 38mph instead in low throttle conditions.
