Oh, definitely not! I was merely pointing out the obvious. I could never fill @geekhouse23's role in this thread.

@EatSleepTacos @Rome604 whats the scoop on yellow fog light legality in VA? I was gonna send my old BD fog light kit to my sister in Richmond for her Rav4, but didn't wanna make her life hard failing an inspection, etc. They aren't easily coverable either being in a recessed fog pocket + trim.

I've heard different things from different folks so wanted to see your experience.

They recently changed the law but I don’t know what it is, so you’re welcome for the useless reply.

Any idea if theres a chart or something that shows amber vs yellow?

BD's "amber" is super yellow, but curious if they go off product listing or some color gradient.

Sounds like the inspections of old around here. What passes (regardless of written rule) depends on who you get as an inspector and if they've had their coffee or are still grumpy gus.

If it were my truck, I'd prob run them and work around it, but I'm not gonna put my sister in a bind over something she really doesn't know or care about.

Just ordered some custom spacers for the rear from bora. $50 each plus $25 shipping. They’re 13mm (0.51”) thick, 106 inner hub and 108 outer hub to match the wheels. I’ll get longer studs for the rear as well. Now I can have minimal extra poke and don’t have to trim the studs. Plus no more hub rings in the rear. It’ll look like this, just thicker.

    wanna be mods
19VAC30-70-160. Auxiliary lamps: backup; cornering; driving; fog; spot and warning.
    A. Auxiliary lamps on a vehicle consist of seven general types: backup lamps (SAE-R), cornering lamps (SAE-K), driving lamps (SAE-Y), front fog lamps with an amber or clear lens (SAE-F) and rear fog lamps with red lens (SAE-F2), spot lamps (SAE-O), warning lamps (SAE-W, W2, W3), and daytime running lamps (DRLs) (SAE-Y2).
    ...
I went above and beyond with the actual reference link (#5 and #13 are the other sections about fogs), no less!

EDIT: So my DD SS3 Pro Fogs are SAE rated and Selective Yellow...but I'd be more concerned with the LEO aspect of the law vs. inspection pass.
