If you were a little closer, I’d have you price me the soft top! If you’d sell it separately...

Now ya blew it. Got it keep it apple to apples. Cant compare a truck to car, van, hot rod etc. and when towing also introduced a 3rd axle etc. but y’all keep pissing on each other it’s good entertainment.

OK, let me just say, that I do not disagree that the weight behind the axle would effectively lift the front thereby decreasing traction at the front wheels and therefore steerability as well. I'm just saying weight at the tailgate would effectively provide more traction at the rear (drive wheels) than the same weight placed at the cab. Have someone stand in the bed near the cab and measure the change in the height of your rear bumper off the ground. Then do the same with that person standing in the bed near the tailgate. The rear end is gonna sink more the further back the weight is - meaning more weight felt by the axle - leverage. In any case, whether you agree or not, I hope we can agree that since we are only talking about 200 lbs of sand and not 1000 lbs, that these effects are all negligible and therefore insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

That's cool man, you do you. You said it was simple physics and while I do agree 3rd/4th grade simple machines are pretty simple, Its kinda in their name.
Your equation keeps changing every time you post and for that reason I am out. The original argument was adding weight behind or in front of the rear axle for extra traction in low traction situations.

I don't think I keep changing - what equation are you referring to? I stand by my statement - weight behind the rear axle for extra traction.

You'll regret it! What bumper are you running? Looks like it is super close to the grille and I like that

On Saturday I replaced my steering wheel. Spent a fortune on a new one from the dealership but the last one was so bad I just really wanted to. Bought the truck last year and the interior was pretty rough so been slowly restoring it back to good condition. Filmed the install, was much easier than I realized it would be:

Here’s what’s funny. Just for grins I looked this up on 5 different sites. Simply looked for weight in bed of truck for traction. All 5 said directly over axle and secure so is does not shift. And 2 said never behind the axle , the other 3 didn’t say anything about behind.

You don't, it's already there in the form of the engine block and subframe. Weighted assistance with traction only applies to drive wheels. FWD doesn't need assistance like RWD does.

Laid in the snow for about 25 minutes to swap out the morimoto led fogs for new Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fogs.
I literally cannot wait for it to get dark so I can aim these mofos.

Man those things look a lot like the Baja Designs. What’s the price tag on them?

F24FBADA-710C-4D46-B0D6-6ED0AC3DD7B6.jpg New front and rear suspension with 3rd gen front components. 3rd gen wheels as well. Tried to keep close to stock but I think the leafs lifted the rear a bit high, which will most likely settle.
