Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

Get a pack of these too... the 36grit will remove material really fast especially if you keep putting fresh ones on.

 

Been over a month since receiving a pair of JD Fabs's spindle gussets and double sheer heim tab kit, finally got around to burning everything in.. for sure this spindle gusset is better designed than the other ones on the market. And everything fit perfectly without grinding or shaping

This will be my 4th set of spindles...


This one happened during a trip in Death Valley..

 

Tubbing is all done and truck is back on the road.

So, with the 2.25" kit and 37s, this is how much tubbing you can expect to be doing. this is set in the furthest back position, not the furthest forward. Only set my truck on fire a few times!

I tubbed it with no shock in and no bumps in, so it is as high as the wheel could possibly ever make it, limited by the upper ball joint. Clears everywhere, fully stuffed, lock to lock. Stoked!

Would the hoop for the bypass add some additional rigidity to the stock tower in limiting some of the flex there? Easier to add cross brace to the bypass hoop?

Surfaces were well prepped and very little oxidation after. Take notes folks. If you head over to his build thread for the Trekker, it should be labeled NSFW because of the weld porn. Especially the TTB welds.

 

Yes between the double shear tabs and the bypass mount the OE shock mount is greatly strengthened. We also have a bolt in cross bar in the works that is being designed around our inner fender kit

I've had a few of those kind of "never again" jobs myself. I feel ya. Looks amazing though!
