I’m considering one of those new trail 125s Honda’s put out. Can get your moto permit online these days. Can bop around the woods and over to the neighbors and stuff.

wife doesn’t want me on the roads much but as long as I stick to the back ones I can travel basically anywhere in town.

    :fingerscrossed:

I had a KLR when I moved to CT but gave up on it after a couple years of using it as an eco-commuter. People here are terrifying. If I was a trail rider and had other uses for it maybe things would be different. I understand where your wife is coming from.....

Thanks, I'm not much of an off-roader though. My truck isn't set up for anything outside fields and fire roads (stock). To me, the truck is a tool and it gets used that way, not that anyone else's choice to use it as a toy is wrong. I'd love to give it a go though.

Her cousin died in an accident and her dad was always coming close, so it’s about the only real sticking point she has. But a little fun bike for around the property never hurt anyone!

Nice. I'll keep an eye out.

I'm set up with OVtune if anyone is interested. I'm not sure what the new licensing terms are going to be on my end for the future, but I'll probably still be doing them going forward.

A Honda Monkey? I love that little bike! But they are expensive new, and they hold their value so buying a used one might not be worth it.

They redid the trail and now have another new 125

Yes pricey for what it is. But I’m a smiles per gallon type of fellow and this thing makes me smile just thinking about it. Just fills my mind with carefree days cruising all the woods trails and dirt roads near me

That thing is so retro it hurts. Glad to see they didn't do to it what auto makers do with their attempts at irony.

That's right, I forgot they brought back the Trail 125, it looks like it would be good for some light trails!
Honestly, that's what motorcycle riding is all about, especially up here in the northeast since we can't really ride all year round, is just having fun while you explore new places (either on-road or off-road).

Yeah I just want to cruise and have a bit of fun. I’m not trying to do anything crazy or set any records. Like you said not many areas to open things up around here, at least not remotely safely.

Please, no. Go for one of the 250 FI bikes if opyou want something nimble, not a moped! Or, do what I did and get an old thumper to beat around on. They just don’t die.

I'm probably headed to do some tunes in the Poughkeepsie area within the next month.
