It's basically the same design as the Paralever front suspension on BMW motorcycles. It's like Scientology. Once you drink the cool-aid you cannot be critical of the design. Bimmer dudes will swear to you how the Paralever is better in every way and the solution to every problem. And it's so much better nobody else has ever built something similar and it's not used in racing. :)

I did spend some time on a demo Trust fork on an Evil Calling riding California trails for a week or so. It is not plush compared to my coil forks but it is stiff and a great climbing and cornering fork However, after a week of riding it, the damper started puking oil so I was not impressed with it's durability (I'm a 135 lb rider so I'm not a clyde). If they sold it for $400 or $500, I'd buy one just to experiment with it some more but otherwise, I'd just get a Push coil conversion and a custom damper tune for my money.

Nice! And, thank you. That section needed attention. When it dries out, I’ll give it a test run.

Thats awfully judgemental of you? What if he's merely showing his love of whisking. Maybe he's a baker and enjoys his time whisking cake batter?

Late to the subject but I cant go back to most cycling lights after using some neutral white high CRI lights. Hopefully some of the bike specific lights start taking temperature and cri more seriously.

Not my photo but it shows the difference:

I use an older MagicShine 872 on the bars. I have a spare head on it that has warmer emitters. I wouldn't mind updating the bar light.

Helmet light is a Zebralight SC64, I forget the high CRI model #. I recently got a Skilhunt H04R that I have yet to try on the trail but it should have more throw and the Zebralight even though it is a headlamp.

Here is an old photo of it mounted on the helmet.

I've been going through a bit of a personal soul-searching with my stance on these bikes. After getting a Decoy 29 for the wife, and spending a couple days getting it dialed in for her, my view is evolving. I've always appreciated that they allow access for people with injuries/handicaps, or trail builders slogging equipment up to improve trail, but without much personal time on them I still disliked their general use.
Impact on trails is a big concern for me personally. Heavier bike, more power, more laps, means more wear. Add to the mix that a lot of ebike users are fairly new to the sport, and lack trail etiquette, it's a recipe for conflict with traditional trail users.
But after spending some time on that bike (and the newer lighter, less powerful bikes coming to market), I'm beginning to turn a new leaf. Really, what it comes down to (in my humble opinion) is how it's ridden. Yes, adding weight and power will still cause more trail damage, but riding them responsibly mitigates that. That simply means not riding the damn thing like a light-weight moto, ride it like an assisted MTB.
Yes, I'll still ride my regular MTB more than the ebike. But damn, that thing is FUN. And, if I don't have a lot of time, or exploring an area, the ebike sure is a good option.
One thing that I feel needs to happen, is more education around them. This might seem controversial, but they should require some type of permit to ride. A simple rider education course, explaining basic trail etiquette, how to safely ride them on congested trails, where to ride them, etc. would go a long way in reducing the stigma and conflict that happens.
