I always find them on Mercari. Just search hot wheels. Customizers are always selling sets in lots for pretty good prices.

I really don’t do any customizing but my friend that does buys his cars in lots to take the wheels engines and other parts off of or to customize some that are in the lot itself. @RLMoody p/m your address I have a few sets I can send you.

I just opened the ones I bought today and saved the cards because I liked the artwork.
I slit the plastic under the car and wiggled it out. These will be worth more after your dead if you leave them carded.
For me its not a hard choice. I don't have many still carded unless they were low production pieces.

I think they call that patina.
Your abuses are mild compared to mine.
I wish I had some of the Hot Wheels I took a hammer to when I wanted them to look wreaked. That was in the late 60s and those Hot Wheels would be worth some money today.
Seems I remember M80s reeked havoc on them as well.
Never understood why I did that. It never changed when I started driving either. My parents took away my car after I was caught twice drag racing until I was 18.

I have this car and the orange one too. Every time I see them I can’t understand how a kid had them and didn’t try to make them fly with that wing. I don’t have my original one from when I was a kid but it was in just as bad a shape as that one. Yeah I tried to make it fly

Got bored over the weekend and started to mess with some of the Hot Wheels out in the garage to see if I can save them from going to the swap meet this summer. The 64 Nova Gasser's I just pick up and modified by adding details ,bare metal foil and removing decals with lacquer thinner. The Ford COE was originally a Pepsi truck with a different cab and painted blue. The Chevy COE is modified with the black wheels that were originally on the Ford beside it. The Tacoma had its stripes removed and details added including a tonneau. The Datsun had the air dam painted and some of the stripes removed. The Camaro had the black stripes removed and details added. Wait until you see the Grand Cherokee I post next. I cant leave things alone.hot wheels121 045.jpg hot wheels121 029.jpg hot wheels121 009.jpg thinner.hot wheels121 003.jpg

Seriously lifted Grand Cherokee with Hot Wheels Tacoma wheels . Yes I trashed a Tacoma Hot Wheel and used it to make this one after I screwed it up. The 40 Ford was a Hot Wheels special release of some kind 10 years ago.hot wheels121 030.jpg
