Hopefully this will save someone else some grief. 6 months ago had the wiring harness on the truck get chewed up (literally) on my 17 trd or mt. Insurance covered it, but they ran into issues getting bsm working again. 3 harnesses later and 3 months of diagnostics and they figured out the oem replacement harnesses from Toyota were pinned incorrectly and causing the problems. Switched pins and all works fine now, but what an ordeal!

The replacement harnesses from toyota had the pins in the incorrect locations. Not all the pin positions are used on the big connectors.
