Yes, but compared to me you're like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, or Warren Buffett...

The kit from Rostra is $200+. There's also a few Ebay sellers selling kits for as little as $90 including the stalk, wiring, and even the replacement hole cover with the rubber "curtain" so you don't have to drill the plate as in Rostra's instructions (or you can get the correct part from the dealer for about $5.00ish

I've already got the stalk, the wire that goes to the clock spring, and the hole cover with the rubber curtain; All of them are installed...

I just need to run it to the ECU and splice it in!

The Rostra instructions linked show what pins need to be linked.

Yes, but will the parts work with what I already have installed in the truck? Really don't want to have to buy stuff I already have over again...

The first one l had was a quite large and bulky grey colored phone that folded open and an antenna pulled up and out.

There was a little shelf on the passenger side of my old Golf where it just managed to fit.

Listening to Preston and Steve right now; They’re talking about “messed up stuff that you did as a kid” and this one guy who called in was talking about how he found screws in the bathroom at school. A maintenance guy was working on something and the screws were important; The guy thought they must be important and in his “kid brain” figured that the best course of action was to flush them down the toilet...

I’ve got a fairly recent “kid brain logic” story; This happened in either 2019 or early 2020...

My parents and I were getting ready to go out; The Ring doorbell registered movement and sounded the alarm if I remember correctly, but blowing trees will trigger it so we thought nothing of it. I opened the front door and about jumped out my skin when I saw two little girls from down the street kneeling on the front step...

I yelled “HOLY SHIT!” (Normally I go out of my way not to swear on front of kids), and I think the kids were startled too; My mom heard the commotion and came to the door...

These little girls had taken all of the mail out of our mailbox and were putting it on the front step; In their underdeveloped minds, they thought that they were helping us by saving us a trip to the mailbox...

It was windy that day, and there ended up being bills in that batch of mail; All of it would have blown away!

I didn’t want to lecture these kids about why this was a bad idea, because I wouldn’t have been particularly nice about it; I probably would have struck fear into their hearts by saying that tampering with mail was a federal crime and saying they could go to jail

They headed out into the culdesac and I was still rather dumbfounded; My mom went after them and, in typical kind mother fashion, thanked them for attempting to help but told them why it was a bad idea to go in other peoples’ mailboxes and leave mail on their front porches...

We haven’t had an issue since!

After the snowstorm of December 2020, I flipped out at my neighbor’s kid and his friends for throwing a snowball at my truck; I basically gave the kid a death glare while saying that if their actions damaged my truck or caused me to crash, “mommy and daddy would be paying for repairs, which would likely mean no allowance for a while”...

I think they got the message!

Same day, just moments after the encounter with the little shits and still angry over that incident, I tore another neighbor a new one for coming to a dead stop in the middle of the road and causing me to get stuck...
