no it is not. It is just something that takes a lot of development time.

Also, every tune we have released has been for more performance.

 

Is there a way you can make that old 2.0 beta 19770 a .vft file?? I’d love to look at it.

I've just been saying the same thing that I do all the time.

No, we do not have plans to work backwards / releasing older files at this time. We are laser focused on getting this update done, moving to our easier to use software, and releasing the patch version tunes with multiple options.

 

Paparee, I am assuming you are wanting to compare setting for tip-in with your various modified files in VFT. Hopefully, this will all be explained in the near future since everyone seems to have different tip-in preferences.

 

I just remember that tune was a good “performance” tune. I just wanted to look at everything! Comparing tunes in vftuner is the only way to learn new things.
I’m pretty good at changing tip-in. No problems there.

 

Mat has said that updates are free. Going forward ..... the shift to vF tune software will mean that the pre canned / finished tunes
of the past may be non-existent ...... after Mat releases the finished gear lock & tune switching versions of 2.0 for the AT crowd.

Lately Mat has been updating the vF software ( free ) regularly. Continuing
to add new features and patches.

 

Was running 04B31 with OVTune for quite a while. Took truck in for free service at dealership and they updated the ecu to 04B33. So far, after a a few thousand miles, I have been quite happy with it. Does anyone have an opinion or spent any time with 04B33 stock vs tuned?

I like the 33 much more. But with 5.29 and 35 after a bit I found I was having the same issue with shifting.

2.0 33 is a really solid tune.

 

Just to be clear from my understanding...

If I purchase additional tune credits, I can unlock the "access" to a different ECU ID. However I won't get a tune pack with that (unless I buy additional tune pack for the new ECU or trade someone who has the tune pack that I'm looking for).

That being said, anyone have a tune pack for "04B33" (2019) or "04B61" (2018) they would like to trade for my "04B81" (2020)? If this isn't allowed let me know.

 

I've been running 04b33 2.0 5.29 33 91 octane tune for a while now. spent 0 time on stock 04b33 tsb went straight to tuned. seems it's hard for me to really notice a difference between b31 and b33 same tune. both very solid tunes and really enjoy the truck on both tunes.

Quick question, lets say that for some reason it rained a lot and you splashed through a puddle. The next day your truck barely turns on. After drying a couple days it turns on like nothing, but you realize that it didn't receive power from the battery to the point that your head unit was no longer set to the correct time etc. Would the truck still be flashed to the OVTune, or would you say that the tune was erased from the truck? I feel like the truck dries differently.

 

That would be similar to a battery disconnect. The tune is still flashed in there, but some values in the ECU are reset. It is less of a reset than the Learned Value and AT Resets. Even those have no effect on the tune, just the adaption values stored in the ECU.
