LOL! Hey I can remember when gas was 26 cents a gallon .. LOL! (I was a kid..)
I remember when I first started driving in 1973 and my mom saying 'I really feel bad that you're gonna have to pay so much for gas .. Who in the world would have ever of thought they'd see the day when gas cost 50 cents a gallon!!!' (And she was serious too!)

Feels cheap to me. I have paid 4.89-5.15 here for gas at the "height":annoyed::(

I come up to Montana every summer for 2 months. I LOVE how gas is cheap on my travels up there - gets cheaper and cheaper....hehe. Though we have 100 + octane her, not the 86 or whatever junk some of those states have up there..hehe

On the other hand, I can buy NON-ethanol 92 octane here all day for (Right now anyway..) for $3.35 ....
Hey, if $3.79 feels cheap to you ... Rock on???

Oh I know it isn't cheap. i was just saying, it "feels" cheap, due to how much we paid at certain times :)

I would be happy with $2/gallon all the time :)

    Working on it ...
I chuckled to myself when I read this. I remember back in the day I had a 1972 SS Nova that was worked. Fastest car I ever owned. Pin your butt to the back of a seat acceleration. I miss that car.

I remember having an issue at 55 mph if I jumped on it it would ping and hesitate a second before it took off I could not figure out what was going on. So I took it to a friend of mine who worked on race cars and asked him to have a look at it. He went over it with a fine tooth comb and ended up telling me, “I’m telling you, you have to run Sunoco 260 fuel in this thing to stop that hesitation and pinging. Everything else is balls on”. I remember screaming out, “260 are you kidding me? That is 65.9 a gallon”!!! :D
At that time it was 103.5 (or 101.5 but pretty certain it was 103.5 ) Octane.
Oh, and I was working at the Sunoco at the time.

I been lucky since i switched to the Tacoma from a diesel I can buy gas at BJ's wholesale. Last time the pump price was $2.55. I have their mastercard that gets me 10 cents more off per gallon so I'm still saving over before.
But yeah since January 20th it's going up. I'm glad I'm not paying $2.99 for diesel and getting the same or less mpg.

    i'm talking about the 05-11s.

The 12-15s have not really taken much of a hit in value yet, because there are still so many people out there that believe in the second gen still...but that number is slowly dropping day by day as more people convert to the Turd gens...

Back in the day when 10.5:1 or maybe 11:1 compression ratio was not unheard of. You had to pay the price for gas or....
Had a 69' Roadrunner back in the day with the HP 440 and a six-pac. Sold it in .. MMM ... 76' I think.
Premium had finally hit a buck-a-gallon (Must have) and lead in the gas was disappearing quickly.
I couldn't afford $1.00 a gallon at the time, and I knew the valve stems/guides were getting eatin' up pretty quick.
If I had only known what 'Muscle Cars' of the era prices would be bringing today ... I'd of parked that in a barn and cleaned it frequently! LOL!!

a little here, a little there
i wish gas prices were similar here in Canada. Right now its $1.1/L which is considered good. Takes a good $80 to fill the tank

You wou need math for that..
Let me see. There are 3.78 litres in a gallon
And the one Canadian dollar is .79 us $
    So C$1.29 x 3.78liters =C$4.88 for a US gallon
Then convert to US dollars it would be $3.84US for one US gallon of 87E10

I know this isnt a gas thread but filled up my truck today. Cheap 87 at the local shell, 2.86 per gallon. Mid grade 89, what I use, was 3.08. Didnt take note of the Super which is 92.

Same here. I started looking for a ‘18 and up and they were only $3k-$4 less than new around $36k with around 30,000 miles. Ended up getting my ‘21 DCLB TRD OR 4x4 with 5 miles for $39,600.
