When I awoke at 4:30, it was 30 degrees with a light drizzle. I told my daughter we are are going to try to wait things out and leave as late as possible. She starts at 6:00 ,and the trip is about 15 minutes on a good day, so we are leaving about 5:40. That's cutting it close, but the temperature is already up 2 degrees and the precipitation has temporarily stopped. It's like a crap shoot today. Lucky 7 or snake eyes?

The trip didn't start out well. My daughter fell on her butt as she walked on our sidewalk. I usually put ice melt down but didn't for some reason today. Murphy's law...or laziness. She had to go back into the house to replace her pride and the coffee she dumped. Contrary to the weather forecast, the precipitation actually became more intense. The temperature stayed at 32. I was more concerned about the road temperature, which I have no way to gauge. I got her to work and back in with me and my truck in one piece. The precip on the truck was wet, like rain, unlike yesterday, when it was a slushy ice. So I am not sure what the conditions are. LOL. I threw down the ice melt because my wife will be going out the door soon.

My township road is always an adventure. The state roads in my parts never seem to get their due. The state road off of my township road is on a ridge and that seems to make it more dicey at times. I-376 in Beaver County looked ok, but most drivers this morning were doing 55-60, as opposed to their normal 65 or 70.

Good morning all. Nothing in my area beyond a light dusting on my grass. Clear roads but the township had them precoated yesterday in advance of the forecast ice and snow. Supposed to start around here soon and be done by shortly after lunch. Our 2 kittens get dropped off at the vet this morning to get snipped so no food or water since last night. As I ate breakfast one kept pestering me for food as starvation was imminent. LOL. I actually felt bad for the little guy though.

    Morning PA!

We got our mixed precip in the wee hours of the morning. Mine and my grandmothers driveways are a solid sheet of ice, but the street doesn't look half bad despite them not salting it. Glad I threw the truck in the garage, I hate scraping ice! Dumbass me forgot a couple things for dinner tonight so I gotta venture out to the grocery store once I get motivated, lol.

Anybody that has to get out today, please be safe!

No snow here in Pittsburgh. Lame.

On a positive note, I'm gonna go pick up my bed mat at a local dealership today on my lunch break.

Just got back from Rohrich and picked mine up. Threw it in while in the parking lot, though my dumbass backed into a spot against the wall, so I had to pull forward, so I could get my tailgate down. Derp.

I do. Just one day, then it can all melt and disappear for the rest of the year.

Well it looks like this may be the last winter for the OEM battery in the Camry. Needed to back it outta the garage to move stuff around and it was a little slower to crank than when I remember. Pretty good run at 6 years old! That and it's mostly a round town driver. The most amazing thing is there's no corrosion anywhere as I've kept the terminals greased/Fluid Filmed since new. Not sure if I want to go with an East Penn or one of those Toyota 84mo batteries. Decisions, decisions...
