Thanks all for the info! Now do the lights come with the yellow and white light covers? Or can they be purchased to change them.

Double check with the vendor, but you can definitely purchase (separately) yellow lenses for the white fogs: https://www.diodedynamics.com/yellow-lens-for-ss3-pods-one.html

You will have different output with the yellow lens if you swapped it, so you should review the thread that’s been posted for more information.

They come with one or the other, but they can be swapped out. If you think you want yellow then buy yellow and swap to white. White to yellow will cause you to get greenish yellow light because the white pods use a higher temp LED

    That makes sense.
I'll more than likely go with the white.

I installed the ss3 Sport in yellow they are much better then the stock fog lights. I imagine the pros are even better. To max is probably just crazy bright and wow @$500 too.

they angle perfectly and make driving in rain or snow so much nicer. Installing is less than 10 mins (if you don’t have hug hands lol)

Probably a dumb question, but since I’m looking at the Pros, and I’m here... wiring up the pros, can they also use the OEM wiring or do you have to update the whole harness? If you can, Which adapter do you need? Thanks—>after market noob :)

It's a water resistant 2 pin connector on the lights and you should get to pigtails with the kit. plug one end in to the light and the Toyota harness at the other end. Should come with the kits for all the Tacoma fogs. The sports for sure came with it.

Any vehicle specific kit comes with the appropriate plug-n-play harness, or at least the 2 I have purchased have. The type B kit (Tacoma) and the type M kit (Wrangler) have both had the everything needed for a simple install.

If you're in the market, I recommend hitting up @memario1214 at hotshot offroad. Customer service is top tier and no sales tax is a plus even if diode isn't offering a sale at the time

Don’t recommend putting yellow lenses on their white fog lights. You’ll get a green color instead of amber

I just installed the DD SS3 Max Fog Lights in amber and they are great. I could if I needed to use them alone to drive at night. They're pretty bright. Brighter than my Baja Designs SAE fogs. And the cutoff is the big reason I wanted to get these and try them out. The BD threw a lot more scattered light which reflected more on snow during a snowstorm. I haven't had to drive in a really bad storm yet with these fog lights, but I bet they will be much nicer and more functional since the cutoff is so much cleaner. I have mine aimed down pretty low too. I did think these would be even brighter, but I am curious how these max's stack up against their pro version... I think the throw is a wider pattern with a little bit less output and the max slimmer and brighter (which I still think will be best for the snowy conditions here in CO)
