BB is not a short position like GME. You just buy BB and sell when you've made your money.

GME is a hold for now because we're fighting off a hedge fund trying to short them, who also happens to be extremely over leveraged right now

Decided to dip my toes into options this morning with a small little bet - limit order on buying a put to catch a dip...

I'll give you credit, for your first options trade you literally couldn't have made a worse decision lmao

I dunno if you're new to trading in general, so if you know this already, please disregard. If you have less than $25k in your brokerage account, you only get 3 day trades in a 5 day period before you get listed as a pattern day trader and bad things happen lol

 

Appreciate the info - just newish to dabbling in options though I understand the general concepts.

Pattern day trader rule doesn't apply to me. Thanks tho.

Much as the squeeze is on GME right now, I don't expect it to be sustained.

So it was a simple little dabble given past prices with a March 19 put.

Limited in, limited out, little bit of beer money in pocket.

 

Buy and sell an option today,'
the money is available tomorrow...
Buy and sell a stock today
you may rebuy but cannot sell until 3 days later or it's a bad faith trade..

 

Don't get me wrong, I have a limit put order set...way out, way cheap...

 

I want no more talk of this puts heresy. You're about to bring a hex down on the whole operation

 

That applies to a cash account and not a margin enabled account.
