Yes, I had to cut it to 4 1/4" to get 100 pieces out of the three 1/2" bars. The other three bars are 3/8" thick.

 

That doesnt sound too bad other than making sure your cuts are right on

 

I am so far behind in this thread.

While the mill is running brass and the saw is slitting stainless I started tinkering with the miniature plow. Made the moldboards out of pipe a while back and started on the frame. These are 4-40 bolts. Couple of pictures at the bottom of what I’m after in life size.

 

4-40 and bolt don't exactly go together in my mind

 

At that size, it's a hex head machine screw.

 

Or socket head cap screw

Had to bolt this brass to a plate to finish it. It bowed bad.

A couple of the larger fan shaft I make, purchase TG&P iirc 3 15/16 diameter, then ends are turned down, everything just fine until 1.25" key way milled in. Always fun, stress relieved my butt.
