I cannot seem to find any roof rack options for my truck. I have a regular cab with a camper shell. I am simply looking for two cross bars that can support 100 lbs or less (probably never get close to that weight) and probably mount one over the cab and one over the shell for the best weight distribution.

Every website I visit, yakima, thule, rhino, has very poor descriptions on how exactly their products mount up. They ask for my year and body style, etc but they don't have an option for a tacoma with a camper shell. Usually they show they are out of stock or that their rack systems are incompatable with my truck.

If you have a regular cab with a camper shell and a roof rack setup I would love to see pictures and receive advice on what parts and installation process you used. Thanks in advance.

Buy a Prinsu, cut it down at the rear. Enjoy!

The OEM roof rack for me was really put together no cutting or drilling required and can switch from across to lengthwise here is a photo with mine on. Not the best photo but its what I have on hand

Hooke road cut down to fit. Drilled 8 holes. Nutserts and sealant. Bolted it down. Good to go.

@Blais03 I have followed your build and I love your rack but I'm just looking for a simple crossbar setup. like two horizontal bars, one over the roof, and one over the shell is what I'm thinking.

I'm not looking for a rack like that, just two crossbars. I know there are racks out there like I'm describing. I'll try and post a picture of some examples.

tacorack.jpg tacomarack.jpg redtaco.jpg These are the kind of racks I'm referring to. I want to mount one bar above my cab and one over my shell but I cannot seem to find what combination of parts to use in order to achieve this.
