Where you currently taking your truck for the maintenance stuff then? I don't mind a drive (as I live a bit out in the sticks so everything is a drive) but I want it to be a decent place. In the past I've just gone to the Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Delano and looking to switch it up.

I live on the north side of the metro and used to go down to Bloomington frequently for work, so it wasn't a big deal to bring it to Walser Toyota for service (since I bought my cars from there originally), but now I don't get down to the south side much due to change in work office location (and more recently covid of course). So I've started bringing my cars to Carlson Toyota in Coon Rapids instead, which isn't too far from me. Much closer/easier drive, but I've only been there a couple times so I haven't built much of a track record yet to judge it. So far they've done fine though.

My truck doesn’t fit through the car wash, so they don’t bother trying.

They do my fluids minus oil, alignments, and all other shit I don’t have time for anymore. I tossed them a test last time I was in for fluids. Reported issues with torque converter slipping. Not only did they let me know no issues were found, but they took me out for a drive to demonstrate when they couldn’t find anything wrong. I made myself an easy mark, they didn’t take the bait. (I was reporting a vibration I knew to be the SAI pump cycling)

Alignment to my specs without argument. Even made some small adjustments free of charge when tweaking was in order.

In for the SAI pimp recall and they swapped over my little K&N I had on there.

I HATE dealerships, so damn them for winning my business.

I have not had good experience with Carlson. I have had Toyotas for over 15 years and I have gone to them for several things. I will always say get parts from any other place. they are the most expensive of any place for some odd reason. As far as service they aren't bad, expensive still even for stealership. I was in for a frame inspection and told them my diff lock wasn't working. They tried to get me to replace the whole harness that was almost $200 for the plug being half broken and slips out once in a while.

Only place I have taken my truck to in when its winter and I dont have a warm place to work. But I have brought it to Heartland tire in Champlin. My buddys family has been using them for years. I took it in last year for an odd "clunk" from the front end I couldn't find. After Less then an hour they found a loose body mount bolt and charged me $20 for work. So I would say they are worth a look into.

Zeus is where I had my re-gear done. I went 4.88's ~ Yukon's since that's what they mainly deal with and the warranty was better than Nitro. I recommend them. The gears + OvTune have made all the difference on this truck.

Zeus did shocks on my friends truck last week and he got new shocks and they left the reservoirs hanging and not clamped on properly. I was shocked at the price and quality of work.

Nice to know, what was roughly the price quoted for parts and labor? If you don't mind. Also was the break in period similar to Nitro for the gears?

That's is pretty concerning seeing as it would seem a no brainer to mount the reservoirs. Did they remedy quickly?

Does anyone know the condition of Spider Lake? Too much snow to go have a little fun?

Dont do it. If your thinking of whipping some shittys, dont. The risk of breaking through right now is pretty high.

Spider Lake is the Offroad park, not a frozen lake.

Let me know what you guys think on what my next step here is because I'm really unsure.

I bought this truck in Arizona, trying to register it with Minnesota to get plates/tabs. I'm currently on temp plates.

MN DMV - Needs a copy of the Arizona Title in order for me to register it in Minny
AZ Dealership - Sent this to the lien holder, doesn't have a copy
Lien Holder (US Bank) - Says they don't have a copy of the AZ title, that the MN DMV doesn't need this in order to register it and instead sent me a stamped/signed certified copy of the Title Information. I give this to the MN DMV and have been told that this won't work, need a copy of the title.

Do I reach out the AZ DMV to get a copy? Should I contact my bank and tell me that they received the AZ title from the dealership so they should have it on file (I would assume they would?).

Yep, I had a similar problem when I moved here from PA....had to reach out to the bank directly who then authorized the PA DMV to print and mail an authentic duplicate copy of the PA title which qualified for MN. It still said that there was a lien on the truck and that the bank owned it at the time.

Not sure how that's different than a signed / stamped copy, but I do remember mine was an "official duplicate"

Good luck. And let us know how it goes so the next poor bastard has a fighting chance haha

Why don't you have the title? Does AZ do that differently? I've only ever bought vehicles in MN, but you get the actual title for your vehicle and it just says on it that there is a lien to such-and-such bank. It's not like the bank holds the title hostage until it is paid off. You just get a letter saying it has been satisfied when you are done making payments (and then you can optionally take the title and letter in to the DMV to get a new title that doesn't have any liens on it if you want).

    PA too?
