i agree it doesn't get as high but iv not once hit my shock mount on rocks and the factory ones hang down lower than any relocation kit you would put on.

Depends on the shock you go with and what you set your bump at. I drug mine a couple times stock and my axle tubes. Not saying it would cause issues like the ZR2s but just a chance of dragging them. IDK if you saw where mine are mounted now but the lower shock eye is above the axle tube.

my plan is a mix of a tube style and what archive does. A boxed plate upper eye mount and tube support running to the frame. Best of both worlds

a 12” standard body shock that’s properly setup with the kit you are looking at will likely hang down just as low as a factory shock. Might be good with a short body though

Also if you have progressive bumps it will get real close to maximizing
Id say for me I'm fin with vertical or slightly below axle. At the end of the day im improving a ton over my stock setup which i honestly have no complaints about haha. I've done just fine wheeling like it is. so any form of relocation is fine with me at this point but i just think the one i was talking about is a good medium.

the compression rate of your bump stop doesn’t necessarily change the compressed height. That being said, some bump stops with higher compression rates (linear or progressive) will be thicker, thus higher compressed height. But then you are just robbing your uptravel.

There isn't very much room under that plate for tht top of the shock to clear the tube, but I can modify your set to take out all the extr space.
