I believe the 1st gen Tundra with the 4.7 still shared the same 7.5" front diff with Tacoma, 4Runner, and Sequoia. Only difference was Sequoia and Tundra had beefier and longer CV's. So the CV's and Hubs would become a problem, but theoretically the front diff would be just as reliable as it would be in a stock 1st gen Tundra.

So any idea whats it gonna be?!

    Supercharger: $3k - hours to install - 265 torque
V-8 swap: $XX?K -months to research, find parts, and install - 300 torque

That seems like a bunch of work and time for not much gains... sure would make a neat thread though!!

My 257k mile supercharged V6 doesnt feel half as torquey as my buddies 06 Limited V8 4wd 4Runner, and his truck is over 1k pounds heavier. I love the S/C for sure, and Im a huge forced induction guy, but picking up and extra 30-60hp and tq on a stock V8 is pretty substantial in my opinion. Im sure my motor is getting tired (over 110k of hard miles behind the wheel) but even with meth and bigger pulleys, it just doesnt pull the same as the 4runner...

Ive been looking into it for a little bit now, and watched @Timmah! video several times over the past several months. It seems to be a pretty straight forward swap, even some dudes used the tundra gauges in a stock dash. Still up in the air if Im gonna pull the trigger though...

These motors arent known for much after market support as fars as internal parts like cams/pistons/heads. Mostly just the TRD S/C and some supporting fuel mods, which are limited as well.

I saw that LCE has high lift heads, you need to put high lift cams in as it doesn’t come with cams, but there aren’t many that’s forsure

I vote for a spooly snail. 14PSI should get you to 400HP and you don't need an engine swap and it's not much more $ than a supercharger.
