Hello my fellow taco members! I'm in the search for a new tonneau cover for my 2017 SR5. There's sooooo many options out there and I'm just looking to pick everyone's brain! Preferred Soft top roll up, any suggestions? Appreciate you guys!

Soft roll-up. I have the Truxedo Lo-Pro and it's been great. It just depends on what your needs and wants are. If you need security first, get a BakFlip or Diamondback or something of the likes. If you want whole bed access, a soft roll-up is the way to go.

You might want to see if you can find a used OEM unit for sale locally. The thing is a tank!

I hav a vinyl covered hard panel trifold by american tonneau. Not as nice as my old solid fold 2.0. Hard trifold ont top of rails is my reccomendation. Easy on off

My Retrax was expensive but worth it IMO. It’s solid, locks, and I only lost about 10” of the back of the bed with the cover rolled up into the canister:

I also think it’s the best looking but I’m probably bias

I love the look of the Retrax but I wasn't willing to sacrifice the 10" I've got a long bed and its still too short. I have a tuxedo I bought new old stock from a distributer who missordered or the customer never paid.

I like it except that the rails attach to the accessory rails and interfere with sliding the other things around (mainly tie downs)

I have a Truxedo, as well, though not a lo-pro. Mine is a soft roll-up, but sits on top of the bed. I had a Gator lo-pro on my last truck (Colorado) and water kept getting into the bed.

Thought I wanted a hard top trifold but I found a truxedo roll up on CL for 100 bucks and I love the thing. Full access to the bed when you need it too

Got my tri fold on Amazon for 200 bucks. It's nice. There is a roll up version as well. Maxmate was the brand. For only 200, it's pretty nice, and the bed is dry.

TruXedo Pro X15 here, hardly any water can get in with my install...12-months and I really like how easy it is to get out of the way when I use the bed. https://truxedo.com/pro-x15

I almost pulled the trigger on this one but it was just a bit too much $$$ for me ... I went with the BakFlip MX4 instead. Love the Retrax though.

Whatever cover you get, you're going to want to get an automatic tailgate lock to go with that.

I went OEM trifold, works well. I don’t often haul something taller than the bed that the trifold couldn’t accommodate, and it’s a single 12mm bolt to remove it if necessary. It is heavier than I thought it would be.

I loved the Diamondback HD on my last truck.

Love my Fold A Cover. The front (cab) side unlocks independently from the rear for front access. It’s solid, seals well, and the locks use a striker system and a key like a car door.

As far as dependability, I have a friend in the industry. I just asked him which are the decent ones. He tells me Access are pretty good. They're not cheap though
