Post 4473 is a good shot. I ordered a set of WP in 265/70/17 on some TRD Pro 4runner wheels. Just got delivered and will be mounted this Saturday. Will post pics once I get them installed.

It clears at stock height with stock rims? Any UCA rub? Do you have wheel spacers?

A buddy of mine has a Pro and wants to go to 285’s but he’s worried about rub

This was my write up in this thread- https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/show-your-285-75-16-and-285-70-17.469963/page-110

Well... Here it is! It’s overcast today so the pic is not that great! (Maybe some better pics tomorrow)

So, I was on the fence like most on here couldn’t decide on 265 or 285 and man I am here to say, thank goodness I went with 285’s because it looks insane in person. I took off the front mud flaps before the install just to make sure there was no rubbing on the way home and It didn’t. I did get a slight rub somewhere but very slight while backing in to driveway up a incline. Nothing to be concerned about whatsoever. I did put the aftermarket flaps back on and then it rubbed, (again a slight rub) going to try and take a heat gun to it and see what it does. If not, then the fronts come off. No biggie!! Theres a slight difference on how it drives but again its hard to really to notice.
Other then that, I’m super stoked on how it rides and how it looks....

Edit- I did take off my front mud flaps because they definitely were rubbing. Now that there off I have only had only one little rub since then and I’m pretty sure that it is in the rear of the wheel well at the bottom of the fender flare, it protrudes out so I’m going to take a Dremel to the area. Absolutely no signs of it rubbing the UCA’s. I have also flexed the truck and couldn’t get it to rub

I bought wildpeaks for my taco back in 2017, and again for my 4runner a few months ago. I've found the winter/wet performance to be just as good with the new as the old, FWIW.

Hi folks, just bought wildpeak at3w and noticed it’s now made in china?! It’s for the stock 265/70/r16. Anybody running these? And are they as good as the one made in thailand?

Definitely rides a bit stiffer than my stock tires, but they look freaking awesome!

Question here, I put on a set of 265/75/r16 wlidpeak A/T3w tires a month or so ago. Discount tires mounted them with 26lbs pressure all around. I thought that seemed a bit low, but I figured they know what they were doing so I ran with it. Truck rode great, sounded great and has plenty of traction in snow.
Well, I went to the dealer today for an oil change (mistake, but I was lazy) and they set the pressure to 35lbs all around. Now I feel every freakin crack in the road.
Does anyone here have a clue as to what I really should have them set at for normal wear and use?

    Thanks in advance.

Set them for what your door says. 26 psi is too low and 35 psi is too high. Depending on where you live, on a warm dry day you could do a chalk test with different pressures. If you run the tires too high or low you will wear out the centre or outer edges faster

Yeah, that's what I was worried about. It's going to be a month or so before I can do the chalk test. I guess I'll just drop them to 30 for now.
