    I had my kitchen re-done in 2016, and just checked the plates. Result? All vertical. There must be something to this.

    With working with different electrical shops they always wanted the screws vertical.

    Damn this thread, I used to be oblivious about the raging debate regarding horizontal versus vertical. I recently replaced some receptacles and realized I had the screws all vertical, so I guess I'm a vertical guy now!

    haha, that was an old pic that was more to do with ceiling fans than a silly light switch. The wall has been touched up a couple times since then.

    Picked Acorn* shows flaws more than lighter colors.

    I only know the color because I scanned the swatch.
