Big bend NF, one of the campsites they have

 

I do a lot of camping in the Manistee National Forest in Michigan. I absolutely love it! My favorite spots are just a bit west of Baldwin, MI. There are decent trails nearby, rather secluded camp sites available, and easy access to the Pere Marquette river for fishing and kayaking.

 

First time overlanding. Went to Sierra National Forest.

 

I will put this area on the list!!! Any specific campsite suggestions?

We might head up to Holland this year as well...south of here ^^^

 

If you head about 1/2 mile south of intersection of S Walhalla Rd and Kinney Rd (Logan Township), there is a trail headed west into the woods, just before you hit the river. Take that and you will see an open site on the south side. It has a great overlook of the river.

If you want something that may not have quite the view, but less trafficked, just head west from the intersection of Kinney and S Walhalla. Go to the end and turn left. Go until it Ts and turn right...after the second 30+ degree hill, the trail ends. That's a cool, isolated campsite. The river view is not as nice as the last one that I mentioned, but you won't be bothered by visitors.

Both are form south east corner of Arizona, Geronimo’s backyard...... Chiricahua Mts (mystical place)

 

Lovell Canyon, NV. Nice little spot that I found a couple years ago. Moderate to advanced trail to get to the spot, so not too many people around. The new RTT setup was dope too

 

That 2nd picture is fascinating. I can't stop looking at it lol.

 

Seven Points, specifically the SENO loop. They are hard to come across since only a handful of the sites are lake front.

Been doing some searching for new RTT and like Desert Armor and price ...have one in my cart now ,is that the reg size or XL ?

I have been using a Tepui Kukeman Sky 3 since the day they opened in Santa Cruz
It now sits on 2017 Tacoma but a new cover, mold issues,hardware and straps baked from sun its time for a new one LOL

Camped out in Blair Valley last month with the family and hiked to the pictographs in the morning.

 

I know this is like 2 years after your post but I have a 20+ year old roll-a-cot. These things are perfect for truck camping. Actually camping in general, but perfect for a Long Bed tacoma.

 

Depending on where in Canada your wanting to go, I'm assuming Ontario since you mentioned Michigan, Algonquin Park has to be on your "to visit" list. Beautiful area, lots of wildlife
