    Thank you very much for your nice words.

    The advice given here was priceless (or about $11k worth :D jk )

    I know I will definitely appreciate it a lot. I know we have joked a lot on this thread, but to be honest, at my budget I could never afford an Offroad, or leather or moonroof. 35K for my SR5 DCLB 4x4 was maxing my budget. My 2018 SR was a 22K truck new. So I AM very appreciative, with the help of TW family, and the GM/Berkshire Auto/Toyota Corporate all stepping up and making the situation more than right.

    It really will the most 'luxurious' vehicle I would have ever owned, and I certainly feel very fortunate and know I will take care of it. Even though it will be well used, I will take care of it like all the other equipment.

    Yeah, Toyota/Lexus products always show wear on the leather. For me, using the truck as a truck, I would like it to last, and not look all raggedy in a few years. I was thinking predator steps - but I take it offroad, and it would hit some of the areas we go (my farm is across from Joshua Tree National park). I was looking at slider 0 degree, but not sure if they are low enough to be a step really.

    Other thought was, maybe just put a seat cover on driver seat only?

    Drive picks up in 22 hours, then its on to me..... will be a LOOONG weekend.

    Farm news, I bought about $7,000 worth of pistaschio trees last week, so my trucks first voyage will be picking them up. Doing my own pickup will save $1,000 in delivery costs.

    I hope I don't have to do again. If I wanted a ACLB base (like I have) or a DCSB 4x2, there is a million trucks around me it feels like. All with 2-4K off MSRP. I think when I wanted a specific model, which wasn't made in my region, the issues started. On top of that, me not wanting to fly and do a fly and drive for a truck - made it harder.

    I actually had to pass "export list" test at two dealers, there is some list where people buy Tacoma OR/PRO/Land Cruisers and export out. Pretty interesting stuff in the age we live in .

    I hope not to have to do this again till 10 years. Then again, it will be all electric trucks by then!

    I didn’t want to suggest sliders as I know you’re working with a budget. I had relentless fab sliders with filler plates on my Tacoma. I couldn’t have been any happier with them. If memory serves they were 10 degree. They did function as steps but weren’t perfect as you had to be very deliberate in how you got in and out of the truck. Honestly even the factory running board steps look pretty good, offer some rocker panels protection and function great as steps.

    I waxed mine the first weekend I had it home. I didn't clay bar it like some say is a good idea to remove environmental contamination. I did use a iron remover product that you spray on and it turns blueish purple where there is iron and it's able to be washed off. I had decided to clay it in the coming spring. I did you Meguiars hybird ceramic wax and use the matching detailer every other wash.

    Hope you enjoy your truck. I'm assuming you're bringing it home very soon now.

    Thank you. Yes definitely on a budget. There is a local person @Shmellmopwho who makes sliders. I just don't have a local truck to look at the product, to see if would make sense for me at 0 degrees even to use as a step

    Getting out of the truck and stepping over them - isn't something I care to do.

    Also I don't know if the 265 tire OR is same or higher than my 245 Tire SR ACLB. Thus without the truck here, I have a hard time figuring out my daily need, for sure.

    Agree that the factory running board looks nice and is functional. I was leaning toward that, then a member told me, they are no good as steps. You either need predator type to really use as a step as the running boards are too high.

    Again, I don't have these options in front of me to check

    Mine will come here filthy I imagine. Due to the fact that its going through weather to get to me. I am home for 2 weeks, before heading out to the farm. So I have a bit of time, to wash it and lay a layer of wax on it it. Also temps here are pretty low (50s) for wax.

    I’m guessing this feature on the app is only available on the OR? I have a sport premium but don’t see this on the app. Nice feature to have when the kids want to take pops truck for a rip lol

    Even something like this might work for you? They’re pretty cost effective.

    https://www.amazon.com/Tyger-Auto-TG-BL2T7078-2005-2019-Textured/dp/B079YKT9CX

    it depends on the aspect ratio (2nd number of the tire size) of the tire but if the 245 and 265 are the same then you’re talking an additional 1/2” of height. Like it said the sliders will work as steps but you have to relearn the muscle memory on where to step. Sorry I don’t have mine anymore or I’d be happy to let you give them a try

    No clue. Dealer set me up with the App, night before truck landed, so I could see where truck was. I am not saavy enough to figure it out. I get a notification when mileage is going up and when doors are unlocked.

    I actually looked at those, as some members here had them. Very cost effective as well. I know hard core TW guys will scoff at it, but might work at my use. I will just take measurements when truck is here.

    SR = 245/75/16
    OR = 265/70/16

    Both seem to be exact 30.47 inches.

    I dont know if shocks/spring height are different on SR/OR or the same

    As long as you like them, suits you budget and your needs then that’s all that really matters.
    Since the new tires are 5% less height even though they’re wider it ends up being a wash. Same same.

    How funny, I read this entire thread and never noticed you were from 29. I grew up (mostly, since 6th grade except for 1 year of HS) in 29 and still go out to Old Dale all the time. Always try to stop at Foster's if I'm passing through to Old Dale or Mojave.

    I also have a sport premium and this is on my app. I turned it off though. I already know I drive aggressively. Yours may be hidden because you didn't opt-in to the monitoring.

    I'll do that! I noticed that the vibe has changed a little. I was thinking of buying a weekend place in Wonder Valley but after checking it out decided against it. So expensive and a real mix of characters out there. I liked the idea of it because it was just across the highway to BLM/Old Dale/Mines.
