Well, as pain as it may have been, please share more about the front bumper. I see it is a CBI. How are you connecting it to the cross member (assuming you will use more than the existing 6 studs, something more integral), how are you going to access the 3rd bolt that holds it to the frame horn, etc etc. Pics please!

He just walked me through it and showed me yesterday - he is going to chop off the OE mounts and replace with a beefier version and there will also be a full length crossmember between the frame horns that will also have additional new mounting points. That will all us to not have to reuse those cheesy additional side support brackets that the bumper came with.

I said never again with the ECGS Bushing, but I already broke that promise. When your friend provides beer, those jobs are a little less of a pain.

I think my friends and I have said that for installing a long range automotive tank, while leaving the bed on...

yeah, DCLB, so brackets had to be made to compensate for the different frame, and the other brackets supplied didn't line up with anything on my 2005 frame at all... so we had to fab/weld rear brackets as well. It was a major PITA

Pulling the bed is a lot of work, but sounds like it would've made it a whole helluva lot easier.

Anyways, back to your regularly scheduled programming, carry on.

The reason we didn't, was because ARE contractor shell, with full electrical system inside, CVT denali tent and alucab awning, and cbi swingarm bumper all would have had to come off first. And the lift we had available had the truck on it, no fork lifts, etc..
    Sorry for the thread jack...

The new fuel cell setup is all done, fits a 25g or 31g carb legal factory Chevy blazer tank that can be run as a stand alone setup or and aux tank. It also incorporates side plates to fully box in the frame.

It could also be installed without the tank and used as under the bed storage

Sits ~8" below the frame (from my calibrated eyeball is what I can tell)?

Never had too much trouble with those. Generally takes us around 2 hours. But, having a lift probably helps a lot! The worst part is dealing with the diff fluid leaking out!

    Those are rooky numbers.

You should be able to do an ECGS in 45 minutes or less with one jack stand and air tools. One day I'll get it done in under 30 minutes, but I need a new SMG first.

    Reported for pornographic content.

Of all the cool stuff you've build in this thread that might be the most elegant.

And of course I've already plated half of my frame so it won't fit on my truck...

To be fair, we never really just do that, always with a lift kit or something else so who knows haha
