I think I have seen some people plastidip it but it looked like crap with jagged edges and was thick.

If I plastidip it and do it carefully will it not turn out like that?

 

Besides the suggestion for the hood wrap, maybe snap a tape line on the edge and hit it with some plastidip? Anything not shiny or reflective will cut down on glare and in this case would also not be permanent. Not sure how clean that would look.

 

If you cover the rest of the hood up really well to protect from overspray, you can get a pretty thin coat of plastidip laid down. I've seen it done.

Edit: And what I mean by that is if you are close to the work then it sprays on heavy but if you can pull the can back to 14" or 18" and go over it a few times then is comes out thin and even.

I already wear them. They don't help enough with a direct reflection of the sun.

Must be the opposite. The middle of the visor is eye level when down for me. This sure is turning into an unintentional Friday thread.

 

Maybe the Panama Jack sunglasses got messed up from the suntan lotion in the grocery store. Have you tried something polarized?

Polarized will only reduce, not fully remove reflected light of this intensity and directness.
