Got an RLD last spring and it didn’t have this bar, just a gasket that goes along the front of the canopy. And just got another RLD canopy with the side windows last month and it also didn’t come with the bar. Is this bar suppose to be in addition to the gasket or does it replace it? Trying to picture how the bar would be installed. Got any pictures you can share?

    Thanks!

Im looking to do a similar setup and am wondering if the mounting feet shown are included with the top rack?

My best guess is to use these RTT mounting feet ‘upside down’ and just use one of the holes to bolt to the cap.

    https://prinsudesignstudio.com/product/extra-prinsu-mounting-feet-sold-in-pairs/

    Any better guesses/suggestions?

I used the 1/2” Prinsu feet for my DIY extrusion platform rack and it’s solid. Have after market tracks bolted to the canopy using the 3 holes in the RLD so I have the option of swapping the platform for my Thule.

Little Saturday morning project. Took some scrap 1” angle iron, cleaned them up, measured across the canopy, welded on some spare links for the down points , and painted with rustoleum bed liner. They bolt right into the slots along the canopy edges and are super secure.

At that height I can stack Wolfpack boxes 2 high for a total of 6 on that rack.

I am very curious about your water tank.

EDIT: l just realized that yours is the wheel arch version and not the flat rectangular thank.

Never mind....Except for the vent question...

How did you attach it to the bed of the truck so it does not slide/jump about when on the road?

Also, in looking at their web site there is only one place for the water to go out and that is on the top of the tank.

Did it come plumbed with a line inside that goes to the bottom of the tank or is that something you did?

Also, I do not see a vent on the tank. How is the tank vented?

well that thing was a pretty bad ass. Def can store whatever you want. I was just thinking I should have welded on cross members so I could store camp chairs, tents, etc.

Quick question for the group. I currently have the cross bars that RLD sells mounted on the roof of my camper. However, they are almost useless as they have no real compatibility with anything and no good predrilled holes. I just purchased a couple pieces of extruded aluminum to mount to the roof (when I remove the crossbars I purchased from RLD). If I wanted to mount the aluminum directly to the shell do you think it would be sufficient to just use one t-slot nut through the pre drilled hole in the shell? also, do you all foresee any issues mounting aluminum directly to the topper?

If you go to the Alu-Cab website (https://www.alu-cab.com/us/) then click products -> fitment manuals you should see all their instructions.

Anyone upgrading their RLD v2 canopy to the V3 and need to get rid of it? Long bed. Desperate to get a canopy to secure some stuff on long work trips so can't exactly wait 90+ days for a new one.
