Maybe lol. I don't really want to become a vendor though.
We run a side business out of the house. We print stickers in house, do glass etching, and she makes jewelry and other art she sells. We also have a couple merch contracts with twitch streamers.

they're gonna come back hard...institutional side will bring out the big guns. Short sellers will not let retail win.
    Good luck to all!

Nice! That’s some good side hustle income for sure. I wish I was better with the digital arts myself. Everyone wants stickers nowadays :notsure:

Digital art is a pretty good side hustle, but clients can be really demanding and also really devalue your work. You get the 'My little cousin can do this for free' guys all the time. It can be very frustrating.

We ran into that early on. She's a really giving person, and would spend HOURS working on a commission worth like $50. We've mostly got that ironed out now, and she doesn't take on commissioned work unless it's a fair price, and she puts in her fair rate.

That aspect of it would not be for me.
I run into that in the day job and tell folks constantly to “go find it cheaper but don’t call me again after”

I manage a territory for my company and I'm the same way. Some people want to help other people, and that's fine, but at the end of the day, "don't waste my time" becomes the law.

That's not the issue at all man. Iterations are part of the process and I welcome them because it means we will eventually arrive at something that will be as close as possible to a logo that serves your business better.

What I mean by demanding is things like 'I just need it to be....better' and 'Well okay I'm not satisfied with what you've done and you're not getting the rest of your fee, I'll just get my son to finish your design' and things like that. Please don't feel guilty about asking for revisions, there's nothing wrong with that.

Agreed. I’m in the skilled trades, so it’s one of those things where you literally get what you pay for with labor.

The problem now is everyone thinks their skilled and deserve journeyman wage if they own a skill saw and cord. The trades are dying and dying fast.

You mean you won't build me an awning over my back porch for $1500 if I supply the materials (most of which will be wrong) and ask you to only do it on Sundays?
