I just picked up a sealed 420 round can of Federal xm193 for $300+ship. Not salad day prices, but beats everything else I've seen lately! Dude has 2 more cans left if anyone is interested.

 

I'm fully stocked up from those "salad days". Just sold some Federal .38Spc for $50/box of 20. No longer have a .38 so the timing is perfect. Prices are crazy for sure. I had to hold off building a 6.5 PRC because ammo is over $4.00/trigger pull.

It's sad, when it's cheaper to shoot .50 BMG than it is 30-30!

 

...or ammo on hand is worth more than the gun itself.

.50BMG is gone, someone convinced me to sell it.

 

I need a .50 cal in my life. Turkey season is just around the corner!

 

I need an ammo safe. I think my ammo is worth more than my guns now!

 

Someone was paying attention, and has ammo!

 

I’ve accumulated half of what you see in the last 3-4 months.

 

That had to cost a pretty penny these days.

Once things get less crazy/back to normalish I'll definitely be ordering 1k round bulk cases for everything I shoot though.

 

I miss the days when I reloaded 223 and 9mm. I always had 2-3 cans of new xm193, at least one with high-performance ammo including hunting, a few more reloaded .223, and a bucket or two of cases ready for reloading.

These days I'm down to a couple of cans of xm193 and a bunch of mags loaded up. 54 I think...

 

How do you like it?

 

Umm I do cerakote and handful of other coatings on my own stuff. So relative to that, over all this thing sucks for guns, that’s my opinion when comparing the different coatings I’ve done.

That said, I baked some of this on a XLR chassis in 2014 and it’s still there like nothing happened...for reference of use, I burned out the barrel of that rifle. I’ve coated a kydex sheath for my m37 seal pup and again, tripods, ball heads, pig/hog saddle etc have all been fine to this day.

I combined it with the clear coat as well FYI.
