I was thinking about something. What does Gamestop do with all of this? Does this thing give them a bunch of new capital? Could it actually save the business? I mean, if it does and it's enough, I wonder if they could use that to build up a new online service infrastructure, re-vamp their company into something that's more profitable?

One thing I can tell you: Whatever you think it's gonna be like, however you imagine it in your mind. It will be different than that.

 

When the squeeze is squoze, and the dust settles, they'll have a few options. They can issue more shares, do a stock split, use market cap for loans.

Aside from the short squeeze, people are legitimately excited because Ryan Cohen (billionaire co-founder of CHWY) is on the board and gunning for CEO. He's my age, understands technology and distribution, and wants to make GME work. It will probably turn into a marvelous redemption story for the company, and we were all a part of it right here and now.

They haven't laid out a gameplan yet, but some rumors are:

Build a PC similar to build-a-bear. Pick your components out and have help putting together your own gaming PC

Online expansion, and development and marketing of a games platform similar to Steam

For my part, I'm gonna buy a PS5 and an XBOX series X from them just as a thank you

 

My guess is, more likely it'll come crashing down and go back to where it was before. If they're smart, they'll probably hold off on major moves until they see what is sustainable.

 

Don't even get me started. I could go on for hours about this subject. Luckily, for everyone in this thread, my wife is making me sit down to eat dinner. lol

Ribeye. Sunday night was even better. A buddy of mine works on a blue fin charter. He gave me a Blue Fin toro cut that most sushi joints would have killed for. One of the best cuts I've ever had.

 

I know that game. This time two years ago I worked at a different company in a different city, no kids. A year later I lived in a tiny apartment with my wife and newborn, now I live in a house with my wife, MIL and little girl. This time next year I will live in Texas with wife, two kids, MIL and BIL. The only constant is change haha
