Pro Comp 3" Lift any reviews?

Looking into the procomp 3 inch lift. Didn't know if anyone had any input on this. I like facts rather than opinions. The lift didn't seem like a bad deal. It comes with coil overs 4 shocks and rear 2 inch aal for around 420 bucks.

 

I picked it up for 340 I forgot where but I rocked that kit for about a year with no compaints. I actually liked it and I've done some pretty good off road trips in it and it handled like a champ. It is a bit stiff when you first get it so just give it a month or two to let the springs break in

 

Thanks for the advice I think I might go with the lift. Did you install UCA's with the pro comp lift. Im still not clear exactly what the purpose of installing those are. You have a sick truck by the way.

 

I didn't have UCAs with the procomp lift. The UCA is more if you do heavy offroading and you are going to punish you vehicle more. It helps because your steering wont bind like it will with a stock UCA (I think) I haven't had any issues with my stock one and I put the truck through some hell.

 

Buddy of mine had it for 25K miles, blew both cv boots twice, blown shock, rides like crap. Save your money or go with 5100s

 

i had it for over a year. rode super harsh. very rough ride. if you do get it you will need new ucas to correct alignment. but i would recommend going a different direction. such as 5100's or ome or toytec or pretty much anything else other than the procrap

 

Just to make sure, you guys had the Pro Comp 3 inch lift with the coils and shocks, not the spacer lift, correct?

 

yup coils were crap

 

I have that lift currently. Would not recommend it... Really stiff ride squeaks all the time and my cvboots are already wearing a bit with only 20k
