Duratrac vs Toyo Open Country AT3?

    Anybody have any thoughts between Duratracs and the new Toyo Open country AT3? Thinking about pulling the trigger on some new tires with the Labor Day sales right now.

    I’ve had duratracs for the last 6 years and they’ve been great. Off road and Snow performance are very important to me. Thinking about trying the Toyos to try something different but at the same time why fix something that isn’t broken? Either way going up to 285/75r16. Anybody have any thoughts?

    Duratrac's are old technology and got way sketchy (for me) in the winter when worn down. Go with the Toyo's!

    Yea, I guess I should have clarified what I meant by "worn down". I was on my 4th winter so maybe 45,000km (28,000 miles). They actually still had quite a bit of tread left, but the syping didn't seem to go the full tread depth so it was quite disappointing.

    I would like to report that my Goodyear MT/R with 20k on them that I’ve switched to from the Duratrac have been performing amazingly for a MT in all kinds of snow. I’m limited to one wheel drive at the moment yet feel fully in control of the truck (DCLB) even at 60mph with a layer of snow/slush and took it on some trails not knowing my 4wd (& locker) was inoperable. I did about 35-40 miles off road in over a foot of snow/mud and got stuck once in a quikmud hole that my bed went half under after several other 34ish inch deep mud holes.
