Me to, as long as I can see I'm good. There was one minivan with chains on sitting on the side of the road. It was the only vehicle I saw for 7 miles.

The only part I don’t like is coming back to a truck that’s frozen solid with packed snow in every crevice. Those noises make nightmares

Yeah driving home at the end of the day is the hard part. there is a lot of frozen road crud in every nook of the truck. I still have to dig out the 97. I didn't clean it off the last 4 days.

When we drove home from Tahoe a couple years ago after the snowstorms up there, it took a full day of being back in LA for my washer fluid to unfreeze before I could use it again.

Next time we do a trip like that I'll be sure to get the low temp kind lol.

    I guess.

But when he asked a mod to remove my posts?

Dude, I was curious myself as to how much I shit in that thread versus how much I contributed and didn't realize how many times I really gave him advice

Yeah it does that. Even the low temp stuff. I got the -30 stuff but it always freezes in the lines. takes about half my drive before it is useful again. 395 is closed from the state line to bridge port the last 2 days. I'm glad no one is driving up this weekend.

So the last couple nights I've been having dreams that have caused me to act out in my sleep...kicking/flailing and freaking my wife out lol. Highly unusual for me but it's happened at least 2 nights in a row now, at least the last 2 nights I remember the dreams that caused it

Night #1 - dreamt I was playing hockey again, haven't played in almost a year since Covid shut down our rinks. I was in goal, other team shot the puck...I stopped it but it fell down and started rolling into the back of the net rrrrrreeealll slowly. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't keep the damn thing from rolling into the net

Night #2 - dreamt that for some reason, I was in charge of sending random missile attacks by throwing darts at a world map and then hellfire would rain down on wherever the dart hit. The last dart I threw ended up being on my exact location so I started scrambling like hell to get out of there, don't know wtf that was about lol.

Normally I rarely remember my dreams

You know what they say about Goalies, "there’s a belief that goalies are special breed. They’re often thought to be on the outside of society’s cusp of normalcy, barely holding things together while ready to completely snap at any moment. They’re weird creatures of habit with wacky superstitions and bizarre game-day routines."

No argument here, most people would not want to stand in the way of a frozen solid rubber projectile moving 100mph lol. Well, in the beer league not many people can shoot that hard, but still. Even a 70mph shot can hurt like hell if it hits the padding in the wrong spot. And no matter how good your cup is, it always fucking hurts to get hit in family jewels.

I started ice hockey as a goalie, all through my teens and travel league days. Then ended up playing forward for many years when I started beer league as an adult. But, as anyone who plays beer league knows, there is always a shortage of goalies and the biggest mistake you can make is telling your team you know how to play goal. Once you do that, there's no going back
