I'm assuming we're shooting for the same spot as last year?

Hoping to get that same spot. Might still have a good chance of getting it with the weather coming in tomorrow.

Yeah I'm betting a lot of spots are going to be carved differently and the traction will be nice. I know I'd hate myself if I don't bring the taco to hit some jumps at least, so it goes.

I hope we get the upper spot that we had I think 3 years ago? That was all nice and flat. The spot from the prior two years is also good.

Is there a designated "probe" to score the spot?

The prior 2 years have been good to us. I like that spot. Hides us a bit more.

That spot that Gary had set up on before was good for a large meet and was on a little softer ground but that was 4 years ago

Oh yeah I like that spot too, usually is preoccupied by the time I get there regardless if it's on an off weekend on a damn Thursday afternoon.

Looks like I'll be heading out tomorrow afternoon. Anybody else going to be there first?

Hopefully all goes well towing through Julian, 4x4 and no chains with a heavy trailer can only do so much but I may go around it.

I'm the same boat. Truck pulling a heavy trailer. I doubt I'll be out there until late afternoon just because the rain will slow me down. Unsure if I should take the 8 the whole way.

You should just take the 79 towards Warner Springs. I may end up going that route just to avoid the snow depending on how bad the rain gets me tomorrow too.

I usually take that way. 79 to s2 to 78. Just hoping it doesn't get too flooded. I'll look at weather and see if any roads get closed or blocked from flooding or snow

Not designated, whoever gets there first will see what's available. The only spot I've known has been the one in the alcove behind the dune.

The only probe I've got is permanently attached to me :alien::anonymous:

I've got that 25' fiberglass pole with a flag & LED on it but wasn't planning to bring it since it requires me leaving the truck on top of the hill & then driving it back down at the end of the night. Anybody have a spare 12v battery we could hook it up to while it's up there?
