Howdy fellas, just checking in to say I enjoy reading the banter. Work and school has been a shit show so I don't really have the time to comment, can only read.

Disregard this comment in regards to my previous statement:luvya:

Hope it calms down for ya soon. I just finished a long few weeks of prepping for an online conference and i'm so happy to be done with it.

Hows the ransomware craziness shaking out? Doing everything in notepad now?

.txt files all the way! /s

I've been busy cataloging inventory so sales know bin locations for the parts. Boss lady has created an in-house PO system that is fairly seamless and in order to control proper inventory numbers boss man is the only one allowed to adjust the inventory qty spreadsheets. We got a new e-commerce supplier so we could pay our vendors and we're able to order parts again. FBI told the bosses to wipe our in house servers completely in case anything was installed by the hackers, bosses have taken that as an opportunity to trash our entire system and upgrade all components in the "server room" (it's one data cabinet behind the sales desk lol)

Today compared to when the attack was first realized on Monday, things are looking okay. Things are still gunna be fucked for the next couple weeks my im significantly more confident that we'll be able to weather this storm appropriately

Thank you for your concern and your help:fistbump:

Before it got deleted I laughed out loud at the mod poking the bear as well with his "ignore" comment im sure they can only be 3rd party objective observers for so long. I can't imagine how often they have to bite their own tongue so to speak

Good to hear. Security is a bitch, but its so necessary these days.

And the FBI is right. Wipe *EVERYTHING*. People have even used poorly secured printers to launch attacks in the past.

I made sure to create a new company email password just in case. Thankfully I didn't have DDI on my personal laptop so I've never been connected to the company server and my personal shit is safe.

Bosses have an IT company in here today wiping everything on all work computers

Make sure to make some backups of your data tho. Not only is it good practice anyway, but these ransomware types are getting very crafty.

Sound like me when my solos didn't come with any grease

But still you pay a grand for control arms, no grease

You pay 40 bucks for a control arm bushing set from a "budget" company and they come with grease

I ended up getting a 12 oz tube of super lube in it's own gun anyway
