Amazon jackpot

I ordered a pound of “Death Wish” coffee from Amazon the other day. It was kinda pricey, but I wanted to try it.

Today, I go out to get the mail, and I’m thinking “wow, this is a pretty damn heavy pound of coffee” I open the box and find 6 lbs of coffee instead of the 1 that I ordered.

Anyone have a similar experience with Mail order jackpots?

The last time I ordered some desk drawer units from Ikea they sent an entire extra. It had 2 little chips in it, so I consider it a freebie for damaged merchandise . That was a nice $80 bonus.

 

Amazon sent me a $35 bottle of olive oil one time. I didn't even order it. They told me to keep it.

My wife is a master at getting stuff for free from them. She bought a $250 outdoor chaise lounge one time that was either damaged or not shipped on time or something. Amazon kept making mistakes with the whole buying/shipping process and by the time she was done, we had a free chaise lounge and they had given us over $200 in credit to the account.

I ordered a set of wheel spacers for the side by side and two sets came in. I watched my card for charges and after a year I gave the extras to a buddy. For once I made out better than Amazon.

 

Not Amazon, but I ordered a winch bumper for my Tacoma about a week later it shows up. Well I was waiting on the light bar to show up and another bumper shows up free of charge. I call the company numerous times and leave messages to call me and told them the situation no one ever answered the phone. Finally my call is returned and the guy says I’m sorry you haven’t received your order yet, but Covid has everything messed up. So I explain to him that I did and that I received a extra bumper. Well he tells me he will get back to me. That’s been 5 months and I’ve called over 7 times. I guess I have a free bumper.

 

I think you won the thread! How much you selling the extra bumper for?

 

Well I offered to give it to a guy if he helped me install mine being I had no use for two and he’s a good friend. So far it’s still sitting in the garage.

Works for me. But I could suggest some other Amazon items instead of olive oil. I do cook, and I like using olive oil and I have used some from that bottle but I couldn't taste the difference between the store brand and this one that cost $35.

 

Walmart had band of brothers box set listed for $35 online. It had just been released and should have sold for $150.

I ordered 5 and gave them away as Christmas gifts to fellow veterans.

 

So sort of the opposite. My sister in law ordered a magnetic tool mat for me as a Christmas gift and on the first round she received a whole ream of canned sardines. She naturally wrapped it and gave it to me first as a gag gift lol.
