We will, on our forum, when we are ready.

For very small amount of users here actively clowning about, I think we have accomplished A LOT in the very little time that vF Tuner has been around (not even 1 year).
And for people who aren't aware of what flash tuning is, yep. Flash, test, verify, flash test verify, again and again. Welcome to calibrating engines.

Please remember it is not our job to teach you how to tune this, or any vehicle. Our software is simply a tool for calibrating them.

But if you want to learn more, have things added to the software, share your ideas, share your files, etc please use our forum

So. I fixed the dip and used a different accel trottle request set of values.
The same hill tested. Numbers are very close, some better by a small margin. Overall, there is no significant changes.
The downshift to 4th was pleasant. The rpms did not shoot up to 3500, instead it was a gradual increase and then you can see/feel acis kicking in. I switched to S and upshifted to 5th @3500

Im glad that the Vftuner software has been released as it made things possible that would otherwise we could never dream of. In a way it gives power to the users to make their truck drive the way it suits them. Unfortunately the learning curve is steep and if experimentation is the only way to progress then it will not be accessible to 99.99% of people. I have only been able to do the changes with the help of forum members and cannot claim any personal discoveries though I have owned the software for months.

Tuning requires knowledge of how EFI works. This is just how it is.
Every and any tuning tool out there still requires the understanding of EFI in order to really know what you are doing.

The more time you invest in understanding EFI as a whole the more vF Tuner tables will start to make sense as they currently are.

But for the small amount of very vocal folks going out of their way to blame me because they don't have any clue about EFI and expected vF Tuner tools to be "tuning for kindergarteners" is just wrong. It's a tool designed for professional EFI tuning for Toyota's.
I say this as a general statement not towards you who I'm quoting.
Investing your own time in learning EFI fundamentals, engine tuning, transmission tuning, etc will go much further than pointing the finger at me, or blaming me that the tables arent easy to understand.

you can't tune an engine if you don't understand how an engine works.

Does that mean the software doesn't need improvement? No, we are always improving it, working every day. Anyone who actually reads what I post knows this.

Tuners with actual experience with EFI are making great tunes with our software, just go look on our forum. Our software just pumped out a 600+ HP 2019 Tundra. Pretty sure that's highest HP 2019 anywhere.

Like the comment about me "handing us a loaded gun." I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart or any gun shop will let any Jane or John Doe buy a gun and bullets with *zero* weapons experience.
You pay to get time at the range to train yourself. You don't call up the gun manufacturer and complain that you don't know how to use a gun.

Somehow answers to questions with regard to the bible on vfT have become more like an exchange of answering questions with questions. Don't you think the source of the document should have the definitions and answers to the questions asked? I do. this reminds me a lot of college 50 yrs ago when the professors wanted to ensure tenure by showing you just how little you knew, and how much they did not want you to know. I am out. Enjoy. I will sit on the sideline and share the fruit.

On many of the tables if you click the "blue" info button it has additional information about the table. Not to mention a pretty thorough instructional of hot keys, how to edit, etc.

Something important to understand. It is not the goal of vF Tuner to teach you how to tune. It's *ONLY* to provide a resource for calibrating Toyota's.

When we do our webinars it's NOT to teach you how to tune either. It's to help you better familiarize yourself with understanding Toyota's logic.
So if we explain, at cold testis map compensates fuel so that AFR is richer during cold start for homogenious charge in the cylinder...
It would greatly benefit you if you already understand AFR.
And you understand map compensations, how a compensation works (multiple? Divide? Addition? Etc)
