I'm looking to powdercoat my OEM rims

 

Mention all the weird Tacos and the “Russian”

 

Spay the paint and put them in an oven at home?

 

Or blast them and prime them and have them powder coated?

 

Autocorrect OEM. What I mean is, I want to get my rims powdercoated to save the hassle of trying to find the right offset/backspacing.

Not going to paint them myself

 

I can ask my sister what the rates are for 4 wheels. I'm not sure of color matters or not...

 

Only reason color mattered when I got some powder coating done, if they did not have the color I selected from the book and they had to order it. There as an additional $75 cost.

 

I looked em up, Brownsville to be exact. Just west of Tillytown, 30 min from my house.
I will try to get in touch with them as it seems they handle a lot of big orders and a one off spray could take some time. They will historically wait for a run of a colour and group you in with it and that's ok as I'm in no hurry.

 

I just sent he a message. I will let you know how much to do them. But I do know that they dont sandblast.

 

My nephew runs the night shift for them and is always on me about having a Tacoma. Hes a ford guy. Think he was dropped. But hes big into gopher dunes and off roading and he would love to see the trucks hes doing work for

 

$260 for 4 wheels plus primer. They wont do them without primer. $90 for primer. And that is for an in stock color. And the wheels need to be sandblasted when they come in

 

Might be a good thing to set something up for the TW group. I'm sure we could supply them enough parts to make it worth while!

 

If that's the case to get a group going, I work for a sandblasting and refinishing company. I'm sure I can get a deal from the boss if we do a bunch at once

 

So it sounds like a doable thing...the logistics between Hensall and Brownsville might be a stretch, but if we me ,I could run a trailer load between the two while doing mine. Just starting a conversation.

 

My shop is in Lucan where they would be blasted. From there to my sisters would only be a short drive for me. I could load up and drop them off and go for the obligatory 2 year visit to them lol

 

I kinda want them before 2 years..LOL.

 

Lmao. Havent been to their place in couple years. Probably overdue for a visit. And I need to visit my other sister in port Burwell too as she has a sign that she made for me

 

Is that the campsite hole in ardbeg? If so I’ve seen a few stuck vehicles in there!

 

That's one near second bridge, not a common place to visit.

 

This is a very interesting TW build if you have not seen it yet. A super rare V6 regular cab With factory TRD supercharger. This vehicle has over 650,000 miles on it with a new engine at 400,000 miles and he rebuilds the supercharger every hundred thousand miles. He purchased this 1997 brand new for $16,000 and the supercharger was a $2500 option.
