Breakfast Taco is spot on here about music. Background music gives your subconscious something to focus on, it gives it "something to do" and keeps it from distracting your conscious mind with "noise" if you will. It's a proven technique to improve focus.

I'd agree with the tips to keeping focused from the home "office." I've got two Zoom meetings today...I usually try to keep it to just one (I lose focus) so wish me luck (LOL)....stay warm and have a real fine day!

Question for you peeps.

Is anyone on here an IT person, or knows about stuff like that?

Got a question about connecting stuff to a wi-fi extender, or the "main" wi-fi router. Which one is better? What can I, or should, connect to what? Etc, etc.

 

I don't know a whole lot but if you can hit the main router, do so

 

What can or should I connect to the Wi-Fi extender then?

My problem is that my main router is downstairs, because of how the cable had to be brought in to the house. And I'm trying to run an android box with an iptv service that I have, but seems like the iptv service has been freezing up/stopping a lot lately, which is upstairs.

Trying to figure what the best set up is for everything.

 

It could be that your repeater is bottlenecking the connection because of how far it is from the router? What kind of repeater do you have?

 

I have a raised ranch.

The main router is downstairs, and the Wi-Fi extender is upstairs in the living room, directly above from where the main router is.

The Wi-Fi extender is a tp link re220.

Thanks! The Wi-Fi extender is set up and working. I have stuff connected to it. Just trying to get opinions and input on what might be the best way to have it all connected.

Spotted this at the gun store in Waterbury! Wonder if you’re on here!

 

Do you get signal from the router at all? I'm also wondering if there's a configuration setting that you can change, I looked it up and it seems like that particular extender doesn't play well with Samsung

 

Since this is a mesh device you need to configure it via a mobile app on your phone. Based on what I saw, it seems like a rather quick set up through the "tether" app. set up should be fairly straight forward from there.
