Once you learn the lingo, WSB has some of the most hilarious comment threads on the internet. These autists know what they are about.

I only lurk, but the mood over there has decisively shifted to "If it burns down the stock market, so be it".

The possibilities at how this plays out from here forward are terrifying. I see everything from bankrupting small institutional investors and wounding large ones severely as GME shareholders get paid up to Congressional testimony/tons of class action lawsuits over clearly illegal activity by brokers and market makers engaging in market manipulation/willfully breaching contract on *millions of transactions*.

I have no idea how you sort any of that out, but I can tell you this much: I'm not selling my goddam 16 shares. HODL.

I did see that. And it makes me wonder: WTF happens if 70,000,000 shares go to infinity? At what point DO you decide to go to prison rather than lose $20 billion?

We're worlds away from speculative investing at this point. Now we're trying to game-theory human nature.

Once I'm a multimillionaire they're all welcome to go to prison

Put another way, how much would someone have to pay you to go to prison for 10 years? 20? The rest of your life?

Almost everything has a number. This number for the decision-makers at hedge funds and brokers is probably what this all turns on. I imagine at some point they each have a breaking point of "I'd rather be in prison with X billion/hundred million/whatever than free with nothing. We aren't honoring the trade. Do your worst.".

I fear that there will be so many triggered halts that the volitility will create HUGE swings. Still holding AMC, might get back into GME on one of thier dips.
