image.jpg Pulled the 4wd cab switch apart today. I did not assume there was this much electrical in it. Tested continuity and the strips are good, don’t seem too corroded. Will still clean them up and add grease. Across the two diodes there is not continuity. Not sure if that’s expected but I am assuming it’s bad.

Make sure you're testing the diode with the correct polarity since they only pass current in one direction. Like a check valve for electricity.

Ah thanks I had it right for one side but backwards on the other both drop about .420-.450 for each
“ agood forward-based diode displays a voltage drop ranging from 0.5 to 0.8 volts for the most commonly used silicon diodes. “
Sounds like they’re on the cusp...

If anyone is feeling brave and could check theirs, that may help me narrow down if this needs replacing.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop in or around Seattle that can do a good job on an exhaust reroute? I went to one place today and they quoted $500 initially and then I told them the prices people were getting on TW ($60 low and $200 high end) and he instantly changed to $200. Nice try.

I'm ordering full skids soon so I'd like the exhaust rerouted before then.

Well at this rate this auction will end sometime in 2025. Not looking to get rich and honestly I'd let it go for a fair deal. Just a c hair under 200,000 currently. I'd probably take $8000 as is.

It was an Avants event, wasn't open to the public as far as I'm aware.

Their primary means of communication is FB. They have a lot of good partner deals, like 10% off discount tire I think. If you're going to buy tires or have some work done, the standard membership pays for itself. I've been in the FB group for a while, but haven't bought a membership yet. I will once I go to 35s. There a TON of ballers, so prepare to feel poor.

But there's also dudes with lifted NB Miata's, the random Volvo here and there, and a decently active Off Road group.
The club definitely skews towards the "tech money Porsche/supercar" crowd, but hey, I'm not gonna hate on someone for making more money than me and buying a cool car.

Oh of course, I'm not hating, I'm just saying to those who haven't joined, don't expect it to be like some online truck forum.

Now I remember that clubs website after looking at it afain. Call me cheap, too rich for my blood. I'll just go sit at the mulch/brush yard next door. Actually @Wyckedan knows the owner of the northfork operation next door to dirtfish, Clayton.

Yep, I've watched them hoon the Subaru's around a few times from the other side of the wall.

@Usethe2nd what's the current situation of your 35s? I'm getting closer and closer to needing a replacement set and don't know what to go with. Or even if I should get in the 16" rim or 17" flavor.

Fixed the 4wd again wasn’t the switch the ADD went out after the solder fix worked for one trip lol... oh well it’s working again for now. As for rear axle play, no wheel play but it does sound the the right rear bearing is going dry or brake rubbing. When you guys replace your rear wheel bearings are you doing your axle shafts as well? Pops recommended to do so but doesn’t seem necessary.
