    We didn't end up with much here in CT. I left New Haven around 5 and it was pretty much just wet. As I came north snow got heavier, but we only had about 1" on the ground when I got home. Ended up with about 3" of heavy wet snow this AM. I didn't have time to clear it so I'm hoping it doesn't all freeze solid in the next couple days. Ugh.

    On another note, my studded Firestone Winterforce tires are pretty epic. Studs are noisy and you can't drive like an idiot on dry pavement without killing them, but when you need them it's definitely nice to have 'em.

    I made it about 180 miles on stock wranglers yesterday. I only slip slided once and it was partially intentional.

    Just to clarify, this was the TDI Sportwagen not the Taco. I have Cooper Discoverer M/S on the truck and I absolutely hate them. They are aweful in every condition. Wet, dry, cold, snow, they just suck. They were supposed to be Michelin LT MS/2 but I got shafted on that deal. The only advantage is that the rubber is hard and I expect them to dry rot off the truck before the tread wears down. I take the truck if I need to plow snow with the bumper, but the car will go through just about anything I would expect to see.

    ahhhh. Fair enough. Side note I will probably be looking for some sort of toy around car this summer. I’m thinking an MT fiesta. Not even the ST (did they do an RS can’t remember). TBD. Might get another Mazda. Could get a golf. Many potentials.

    good to know about the coopers. I have been pleasantly surprised with how good these stock wranglers have been off road and in the snow. They aren’t perfect but for their price and their sales pitch, pretty good.

    If I ever finally get fed up enough to replace the Coopers it will be with the MS/2. I had a set on my 2nd gen and they were awesome in everything, even for an all-season.

    There are definitely plenty of options for a "fun" car. My GF in HS had a Miata. IDC what anyone says, those are fun cars. If I ever have a 5 car garage (never going to happen), that will take up one bay.

    lol I have a one bay and it doesn’t fit the Tacoma and barely fits the wife’s Camry. But if I got a fiesta it would fit. I don’t think I want a motorcycle. I want one but I think probably not.

    I had a Mazda 3. Thing was awesome. Wish I kept it instead of trading it in. I’d consider a Miata. Or a BRZ but that’s a bit outside my budget. By like. A lot. Probably.

    It was a good test for my Nokians. They're fantastic! It was basically impossible to get them to slide at all. Acceleration was excellent and they'd only slip if I really stepped on it. Braking would typically pulse the ABS for about a half second, then they'd just stop. Last year my Cooper AT3 4Ss were terrifying to try to stop. ABS would just go nuts and I wouldn't really slow down.

    It would only need to be 6' off the ground for her not to be able to reach.
    Nokian's = the best.

    Loving mine as well

    Supposed to be as cold as a Minnesota dairy cow's left front tit for the next couple of days. Fingers crossed for some snow on Tuesday!

    I'm sure no one ever wondered how these were made....

    I know I didn't, but I have been working on the one and only machine in the world that does it this week. It isn't nearly as impressive as you might think.

    Yeah, seriously. We thought ours to ring a bell when they need to go out and at least we have an invisible fence. Just opening the door was a bit rough.
