Nice job. If you wanted protect your IP and make some money, you could put this up on a site like shapeways. Another member here did that with his cubby switch panel and lots of people have purchased one from there. The creator gets a cut from each sale.

    +1 for shapeways.

I designed a camera mount to fit in the go pro mount. Got it right on the second iteration. Posted it up in Shapeways and added a few bucks to their total. This was before I had my own printer. I get three-fitty every random now and then. :) Have probably *almost* made enough to cover the cost of the two I had printed. I've shared the file to those that have asked nicely via PM. So I've done both. Nice thing about Shapeways is you can do all your own prototyping at home if you have a printer, then you can have it printed through them with whatever material/color you want. I've found the nylons to be pretty smooth and strong.

Since there was a decent amount of interest, figured Id share how its coming along. Did some body work, some filler primer, and some textured paint work and I think its going to look super slick in the truck!

and the finished product. Cant wait to see it installed.

@CrazyAirborne This is so great. I coincidentally installed Fusion 360 myself just a few days ago before finding your post. Basically the same situation of being limited by what (not) available. Haven't decided if I'm going to go all in yet and get a printer. Certainly a steep learning curve, but really cool nonetheless. Thanks for sharing your experience.

How does one go about wiring in a garage door opener into one of those switch spots? That's awesome.

Badass work man looks perfect like it was OEM! Maybe if you get enough interest you could make a few bucks on the side for your time...

OP can choose to share for free if he wants; its his own decision. Calling someone a free-loader for asking is pretty rude.
