The hitch/ball that you have in luggage net bag - does it tear it, or stay ok?

Looking for the original post. Only found this picture.

Used this stuff from Amazon. The bracket was on sale for Black Friday. Modified the mount that came with the extinguisher using rivet nuts so it would connect directly to the bracket. 006036E9-7A67-41CB-9821-DFB95E8CA1BB.jpg

That net is from an old highlander. It’s from 2003. It’s been around and stood up to abuse for years. Elastic at the top. No issues with ripping The skid plate hitch is from warfab. I just toss random stuff in that net depending on where I’m going. Works for all kinds of stuff.

Similar but that one is a bit more expensive. Got it on Amazon for $19. Looks like it’s $24 now.

I will check it tomorrow on the stock leafs tomorrow (not sure why it didn’t cross my mind). Forshits n giggles I put them against the progressive aal and the sumo brackets are the same width and the ubolts are snug (literally no wiggle room like I think the stock does) and the inner bend on the bolt contacts the edges and sits slightly higher than directly on top/flat (now that’s on the aal so I’ll check the stock pack to be sure but sus the same).

headstrong sent ome53a ubolts in their kit- those measure length 7.25” long. I thought I seen the stock length listed somewhere since research on this, I’ll try and find it again. Anyone know of another brand that retains the stock ubolt width?

So not sure what gen the picture was from I seen but it was 7” by 2.5” for stock. The aal is 2 3/8” wide (I’m assuming the same for stock). The sumo bracket is 2 3/8” (so that’s for sure ruled out). Now ome ubolts measure 2 3/8” ONLY if you don’t measure at the top but below the bend. Pre bend to pre bend (which is what’s actually needed to sit flat) measures 2” maybe 2 1/8”. Ding ding ding, I think we have a winner. I also have 3/4” threads exposed on stock ubolts and if stock is 7” and the aal replacement is 7 1/4” in assumption it would leave me with only 1/4” of threads (maybe 1/8” wither sumo bracket) only left so that’s definitely not enough for both aal and sumo

I’m guessing if it went through the service department it would have been no questions asked as they have the milage and truck info. I guess parts guy just see’s you as just another paying customer looking for a part.
