Definitely tempted take a ride on the roller coaster. This whole thing is just bonkers, but its making me re-think how I think about the stock market.

They've got some good apps for it, supposedly make it pretty easy. Can also 'play' with fake money too just to learn how it works I guess. If/when I try it out I'll probably just do the penny stock stuff to get a feel for it. Like playing the penny slots in Vegas I guess lol.

I don't like the idea of having to watch the market like a hawk to know when to buy and sell and all that. I like the 401k mutual fund cause you just add to it over it time and it slowly grows based on the market, don't have to do much except wait however many years until you cash it in.

I don't really know shit about any of this just what I'm picking up based on stories like this lol. And a crash course we got at work when they finally offered us 401ks last year

See thats the thing. I'm literally setup to do it at the click of a button already. I bought some costco about 5 years ago and I don't regret it. The ease of it makes it that much more tempting.

The thing that is breaking my brain is that my Dad always encouraged getting into the stock market my whole freaking life. I've got books on the shelf that he gave me about it even. And to be fair, he had good reason for doing so - he didn't make u/DFV kinds of gains but in the end it was really good for him and Mom. But, he was very much the old school type of buying stocks that are for companies that provide real value and then hold onto them long term. Day trading was a fools game to him. But these days the market is just crazy, there's so many new things about it that feel far more akin to gambling than investing, and I don't know what to think about it. It almost seems like a game even.

They're in trouble right now though for blocking the Game Stop stocks, I dunno. Then and a lot of others

Wild how the rest of the world was getting double cab Toyota pickups while we were over here making custom cabs.

I see trail gear has invested in a marketing vehicle.
