Negative. Molex ends go into the truck side of the plug harness the other ends get spliced into the ac harness.

"Step 4: Cut and solder the red and white wiresto the back of the switch.
Step 5: Using the excess wire that was cut off, connect one end into the connector that plugs into the switch.
Step 6: Solder the other end of the excess wire into the green and green/white wires in the A/C harness."

Hello rcbs204, I got my illuminated 4x4 switch from you in 2011, and a couple of days ago the light went out. Is there a way to change/ replace the bulb, with out buyin a new kit? It has been perfect for over 376k miles.... excellent product. Thanks for the info in advance! dc

Likely you will only need to resolder resistor R7. In the older ones that resistor liked to get warm and cause a cold solder joint. If you have the skills, just touch up the solder joints on that resistor and it will likely fix the problem.

I didn't read the whole thread. RCBS, are these just plug and play? What's the cost with shipping to 75034?

All depends on you definition of plug and play!
If you go back to the very first page there is a pdf you can look at the instructions and see if the installation is in your wheel house.

Next question. Can an AJT knob be subbed for the stock knob? I'd like a big red AJT knob there.
