A rose by any other name - still called a bronco “sport”

so let’s put it another way... when all the press came out and tested it they called one a bronco and the other one an escape sport? Let’s just say they are both called Broncos and move forward. Or move to Dearborn and work at Ford and change it’s name so you can call me wrong still.

Sorry man, but I just can’t give more than a rats ass if you can’t tell the difference. Call it what you want. Horse to water and all that...

And yeah, the reviews did point out the Escape platform.

What are you going on about here?
There is a Bronco Sport and the Bronco. Period. Two totally different vehicles. Just like the Tacoma vs Tundra.
Ford never should have shared the "Bronco" name with the Sport (again).

My first car was a run down 1971 Bronco Sport. The "Sport" was originally a package like the TRD off-road. Ford messed up when they decided to make the Sport a completely different vehicle. They also messed up by not offering the 7-speed manual transmission with the 2.7l V6. It would be badass to buy a 2 door bronco with 35s, front and rear lockers, 7 speed manual with a granny gear, and the 2.7l V6. But not possible.

I haven't seen the Bronco in person myself.
What made you thought it was ugly? You sure it wasn't the Sport?

There’s a nice 2dr at King of Hammers with Fox coilovers and 37s. They didn’t even have to cut body mounts or anything???

I am hoping that we can see it drive. Not compete, but some driving at least.
I know you know...but here it is again for those who may have missed my prior post on it.

IIRC, wasn't there an econo box made by GEO (Chev) called the Metro with a 3 cylinder engine?

You may be ahead to pull that "Dragon" engine and stuff in an engine from a Honda Goldwing.

thats a Toyota thing cutting to fit tires! My buddy did pretty minimal stuff to fit 37s on his Gladiator. Reliability is questionable but it looks good.

Not according to the Ford Bronco build page. If you select 2.7 it changes the transmission to the auto.
