I think that might be one of the people OV Tune is referring to here and the reason a big change is coming to vF:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vf-tuning-for-at-tacoma’s-tune-files-in-first-post.693221/page-65#post-25027228

Others have offered, but I also have vF and many ECU’s unlocked and experience with all the latest adjustments. Can tune for gears, tire size, add gear lock, change throttle response, tweak alternator settings for AGM batteries, etc... I’m a lot cheaper than $200/tune but not trying to turn this into a spam show. PM if interested.

There you go many local options. Just make sure when someone loads your truck it is a .vft file. This at least ensures they are using current files and software. There will soon be an update that will weed out the folks that have not paid for the tune packs. You can ask OVtune if someone actual owns the tune pack they are loading. I will also say that unlocking an ECU $75, should not be confused with owning the tune pack ($390) for an ECU. Unlocking gives you access to manipulate the the stock file. If you have purchased the tune pack you own all the tunes for that ECU and with the additional $75 unlock fee can manipulate the stock file and all the files in that tune pack.

Thanks for the info. He's been doing it a while now so I don't think that applies to him but there are definitely people doing shady stuff with vF.

Does anyone have the Magnuson supercharger kit on their 3rd gen? Curious to see if it would be worth it.

SLC. Millcreek area, but I work in Clearfield, so SLC to Ogden pretty easy for me to be on a regular basis.

First time flash takes about 30 min because I read and save everyone’s stock ECU incase someone wants to go back to “their” stock condition, even though the OV stock tunes should be the same. Then tune flashes and LV/AT resets are about 10 min with some idle time. This is a hobby for me more than a business. Mainly making my truck the way I want it, but if others want to get rid of their shitty stock tune and I can help, happy to do it.

I don’t know man, that Blaze site looks shady like he’s reselling and shipping vF kits. Plus $350 is a left and right nut to flash a tune he probably “borrowed” from the threads and generous users here on TW. Good for him though if people are paying that kind of $ for it.

Good point on borrowed files from the internet. All my custom tunes start with a bought tune pack file, no borrowed files here, some borrowed ideas though.

To clarify, I don’t think there is anything wrong with flashing the “borrowed” tunes. There are some good ones posted free to the masses. I just think the price charged should reflect the source of the tune. Charging $200+ to flash a tune you downloaded and unzipped from TW seems wrong to me, $30-40 seems more reasonable pending on circumstances in this case. If you are building a highly customized tune starting from a fresh 2.0, I can see higher prices for the service.

    my $0.02 on it anyway.

Compare bins and painstakingly clicking on each bold map can expose 99% of what has been done.

But I agree, I don’t flash tunes I haven’t spent time investigating and testing variants on my own ECU.

Survey says that site is sus...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vf-tuning-for-at-tacoma’s-tune-files-in-first-post.693221/page-67#post-25034055

OVTune isn’t doing himself any favors on his posts recently. Seems a bit of a pissing match going on with some of the most popular TW users of his software. Personally, someone charging 50% of the software and tune pack cost for a single tune on a website that misleading is, at a minimum, in bad taste. But that’s just like, my opinion man.

I like the software, I like what I’ve been able to accomplish with it and how I can customize my truck and others. I think there are others taking advantage of people with it. Again, my assumptions and my opinion. I’ll own it.

Do we have any medics on this thread? Maybe @Jiveydude.

What would I use to clean and irrigate an incession that has become infected? I just need to make to an appointment on Tuesday. I’ve been using neosporin, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Would hydrogen peroxide work?

Yes, this is a strange question to pose here, but hey, it’s with a shot. I don’t want to wait in the ER for something I think can be done at home.

Saline and a medication syringe would work. Ive got a decent amount if you need it. H2O2 is kinda bad for you if it gets internal.

    Where is said wound?

Clean water is good. Saline is good if you have it.
Lots and lots of volume under pressure (irrigation syringe is best). The more you irrigate, the better your outcome.
I’ve got plenty of irrigation syringes, could get you one tomorrow.

    not enough.

any amount of hydrogen peroxide/alcohol/iodine would probably not be a great idea. give it a good scrub and saline i guess. try to get all the infect tissue out.

    Thanks gentlemen.

I don’t have saline and I’m not sure I know what a medicine or irrigation syringe is.

The wound is on my upper hip towards my groin. I had hip surgery first part of the month.

Could I get saline at a pharmacy, and maybe a syringe?

EDIT: the incision opened up and I think my clothing is rubbing against it. It’s starting to look a little gnarly.

hopefullly it just LOOKS gnarly and isn't actually infected. at any rate, you can get all that a pharmacy. or even the medicine section of grocery stores. or make the saline solution at home. it's basically pure water and salt. :)
